Michelle Williams was spotted leaving the CBS studios in New York City earlier this morning following her guest appearance on the ‘CBS This Morning’ show to promote her new movie, ‘Take This Waltz’.
It looks like the actress is off to a colourful, summery start to her promo tour by wearing a Jason Wu Resort 2013 dress.
Her floral sleeveless dress, which slightly differs from the version in the look book, was styled with Tabitha Simmons for Honor Fall 2012 heeled loafers.
The star is giving us mixed messages as the dress say “summer in the city”, whereas the shoes say “the weather outside is frightful”. I’m exaggerating, but you catch my drift.
Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses and a gorgeous smile completed her look.
Do you dislike the strong Spring/Fall contrast or do you like her styling?

Prefer the model’s version!

I wish she’d worn the look book version of the dress, it’s so much more interesting. While hers is still nice, it looks like something I could pick up from Macy’s. Though I do have to say how good it is to see her in some color!
I’m undecided about the shoes. I don’t really think they go that well with such a light dress, but I guess it could have been worse.
these shoes are like the platform version of queen elizabeth’s shoes!!! they are dark, chunky, with a gold detail and no relation whatsoever to the dress, a dressing strategy that is also typical of her majesty…
Beautiful, summery dress, pretty girl, just plain WRONG shoe choice. It’s June, ladies. Whither the sandals?
I like her styling here. Very cute and dainty. Although I prefer the look book version of the dress.
I prefer the lookbook version also, plus I miss the belt. I like the shoes themselves, but not with this dress in this season.
Definitely prefer the look book version of the dress! And why oh why wouldn’t she pair it with a beautiful sandal?
The model’s dress, with the print and solid blocks, is much sharper. Michelle’s is a bit dowdy…and she really needs the belt.
I think the shoes are an awful choice.
For me, this is a FAIL.
It’s a fail for me as well. She does look dowdy, hideous shoe choice, if she wasn’t sure she could’ve at least played it safe with a pair of ladylike pumps.
I prefer the lookbook version. Poor choice on the shoes
Agreed.
So pretty! She’s like a little ball of sunshine! I can forgive her for the black shoes. She looks very confident in this look.
Oh my, I can’t even look at those shoes. They are so hideous, especially with the dress. I also prefer the model’s version.
I prefer the look book version of the dress. Michelle looks kind of dowdy in the all-print version. The heeled loafers are just kind of meh…
LOL, I was checking this collection the day before yesterday and I remember seeing the print and thinking how very Michelle Williams it is.
Nice dress but shame about the shoes. Really shame. And it’s not about being black, it’s the design. Awful shoes. I’m missing the belt too.
The dress is a good choice for her, it suits her style. However, I prefer the lookbook version, with the white parts and the belt.
The shoes are hideous.
The dress is gorgeous. I don’t know what possessed her to wear those shoes, though,
Those shoes are horrible with such a light summery dress!
I absolutely LOVE this print and this dress was actually one of my favorite from this collection so I’m glad to see it already
It looks amazing on her but I hate the shoes and it brings the look down…
