Lucy Liu won the Best Guest Performer in a Drama Series, much to her surprise, at the 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards held in Beverly Hills on Monday.
It seems as though the ‘Southland’ star searched for the girliest gown available for the ceremony – and she succeeded.
Dressed in the Atelier Versace Spring 2011 gown this light pink gown is red carpet perfection personified. I love the delicate lace and the pretty ruffles.
Keeping with the ultra feminine theme, Lucy swept her hair into a loose chignon, adding only a copper Roger Vivier ‘Boite de Nuit’ clutch and delicate earrings as accessories.

I adore her hair and make up. The dress is like something out of a 19th century bordello HOWEVER Lucy manages to look lovely in it, somehow…much, much better on her than the model.

Beautiful dress but also very difficult to wear. I think she is doing fine but I do agree that this is not really her color. I prefer the original warm-pink of the presentation. This one looks grey-sh to me. And yes, it is a bit over the top for the occasion. Lucy is not Lady Gaga and this is not an airport!

Lucy is sort of like Leslie Mann for me – flies under the radar, but always looks gorgeous. Hopefully with a new show coming out this fall, we’ll get to see a lot more of her.
