Kristen Stewart In Balmain – Snow White & The Huntsman Sydney Premiere

Kristen Stewart took to the red carpet this evening at the Event Cinemas Bondi Junction in Australia for the ‘Snow White & The Huntsman’ Sydney premiere with co-star Chris Hemsworth.

The actress wore a Balmain Fall 2012 collection.

Whilst Kristen is no stranger to wearing Balmain, I would’ve expected her to wear one of their signature mini dresses.

Instead she wore this forest-green two-piece which features a bustier top with a calf-length pencil skirt which are both embroidered with crystal and pearl shimmering details.

Surprisingly she didn’t opt for black pumps; instead she selected a pair of crystallized Louboutins.

I love the punky nature of her hairdo and I’m so glad she didn’t wear the belt.

Either Kristen is more radiant with a lighter hair colour or she’s sporting a tan which is working for her.

A dark pink lip colour completed her look.

This is one of my favourite looks from Kristen this promo tour. How does it fair for you?

i love it but i would have liked it to be an inch shorter!

She is sporting a tan! I love this look head-to-toe. It’s different, edgy and fun.

This look is BDOTW worth except for the hair I really don’t like it

  4. Yeliz June 19, 2012 at 12:04 #

LOVE this look! Definitely one of her best looks during this promo tour. The embroidered details on the ensemble are exquisite and the braided back of her updo is so gorgeous! I also love her shoes and her make up.
This is a big wow moment from Kristen and also a BDOTW contender IMO.

Love the dress and change in hairstyle! But the dress needed serious shortening – maybe a couple of inches off. I don’t think Kristen had the height to pull off the dress length, it makes her legs look like stubs :/

    3 words: skirt too long.

Otherwise – I actually like it.

I love love love that she is trying new things, so happy with the shoe choice. Not quite sure if i like the hair or not, i’m on the fence. But she looks gorgeous, really love the colour.

    • CTgirl June 19, 2012 at 21:07 #

I like the idea of the outfit but the length is about 4 inches too long. The makeup and hair are OK but the shoes are about 3 sizes too big. Apparently she is still allergic to accessories. I really want KS to have a stellar head to toe look and I haven’t seen it yet . . .

  8. TL June 19, 2012 at 12:21 #

At first, I wish the dress could be 1 or 2 inchs shorter, but then I am amazed by the detail work of the dress, it is really beautiful, like a price of art ! ! !
I like KS’s hair and makeup, it will be 100% perfect if she fix her posture…

    • Mariazinha June 19, 2012 at 12:34 #

Agree that it would be a sin to cut a piece of this beautiful skirt!
But it does look too long on her… A shame, because I think every other aspect of this looks great!

    • TL June 19, 2012 at 13:06 #

Yes I think shorten it will make the whole Beautiful art-work dress incomplete…
Maybe on someone taller (like Charlize)? !

    • dee June 19, 2012 at 14:07 #

I agree. The skirt needs to be a few inches shorter.

  9. Mandy June 19, 2012 at 12:27 #

my god she look every inch a fashionista ! this is my favourite look so far for the SW tour ! BDOTW!

  10. bas June 19, 2012 at 12:28 #

I think that the skirt is too long, but I also don’t like the fit, she seems to have no waist. That along with the hair earns a NO from me.

  11. Petra June 19, 2012 at 12:33 #

Wow. She looks stunning and surprisingly not at all awkward. She should definitely wear more Balmain.

  12. Ally June 19, 2012 at 12:40 #

The skirt is much too long, hair and make-up look like something out of a bad 80′s horror movie.
The two-piece looks amazing on the runway, but hideous on KS presentation. A big no from me.

    • Nat39 June 20, 2012 at 00:16 #

Horrible sloppy presentation, agreed, and I think she actually needs that belt badly. A BIG NO from me as well.

  13. gabis June 19, 2012 at 12:51 #

The change in the length ruined the dress for me. I’m not a big fan of the hair and makeup either, but I LOVE her shoes. But I think it’s fair to say that overall it’s a great look. She’s gorgeous.

  14. robbie June 19, 2012 at 12:54 #

thank god it isnt yet another short dress. wish she wore the belt because the little bit of flesh showing through is bothering me (silly i know) but other than that its a pretty good look.

  15. witchy witchy June 19, 2012 at 13:05 #

i love it all. She looks beautiful and confident which is a plus for me. The skirt is a little too long but she is happy. Bdotw of for me.

  16. bm June 19, 2012 at 13:22 #

    Too long on her.

  17. Christine June 19, 2012 at 13:47 #

She looks stunning! She actually surprised me in a sense of not rocking another mini and by wearing her hair in a updo. This dress is hot! I give her a BDOTW A+ :)

  18. Te June 19, 2012 at 13:51 #

the length is not right… nor the belt.
it works so much better with the proportions of the runway. nevertheless, the dress is beautiful!

  19. Bella June 19, 2012 at 13:54 #

She looks like she actually wants to be there -that’s a first in a long time-. The skirt needs to be shorter but with that intricate embroidery I guess shortening would be a tough job… Other than that, seeing a Balmain is always appreciated!

  20. inessa June 19, 2012 at 13:54 #

    She looks ridiculous.

    • e June 19, 2012 at 14:24 #

I agree. The length is all kind of wrong :S

      • Ange June 20, 2012 at 06:00 #

        I could not agree more!

  21. Lalitha June 19, 2012 at 14:15 #

Hmmmm….I think I am the only one not loving this look. At all.

  22. ciro June 19, 2012 at 14:46 #

thank god they didnt shorten it! the design will be ruined if they went to that route

  23. Hannah June 19, 2012 at 14:48 #

I’m trying not to, but I seriously hate this look. I can’t put my finger on why exactly, but the skirt is obviously too long, and her pose doesn’t help that at all, I really dislike the shoes with the dress, and the gap between the skirt & the top is just making it all worse. I also don’t really like her hair. I just find it a really ugly, unflattering outfit.

    • Quinn June 19, 2012 at 15:42 #

Agree on all counts! the hair, the pose, the length of the skirt…it just does not work on her! very unflattering.

      • Martina June 19, 2012 at 17:42 #

        I agree with you both!

    • Sharon June 19, 2012 at 19:33 #

I so agree. I can appreciate the artistry of the dress, but dislike the look.

  24. snowlion June 19, 2012 at 15:22 #

I love it, I can even cope with the extra length (surprised withself).

  25. britta June 19, 2012 at 15:27 #

best she has ever looked! A++

  26. MoxieSue June 19, 2012 at 15:54 #

The skirt is an awkward length. It needed to be shorter or longer.

  27. bea June 19, 2012 at 16:05 #

She is a tiny girl, would say 5’5″ the most, so obviously the skirt looks shorter on the model, she didn’t decide to magically make it longer. I also bet that she couldn’t shorten it with the detail that was done, so i don’t fault her for it. Some people don’t think logistically.

  28. Susan June 19, 2012 at 16:43 #

    I love love love this.

But, I think this length is hard for anyone and everyone to wear. So, fashion people, let’s get rid of this length, ok?

  29. Susan June 19, 2012 at 16:58 #

I’ve seen other pictures and this is totally a win.

  30. Odette June 19, 2012 at 17:00 #

Okay guys, the longer length SEEMS wrong, but it is DELIBERATE and part of the style of the dress.

I love the look. This is an interesting curveball.

  31. moja31 June 19, 2012 at 17:01 #

i think this might be the first time i’ve ever liked her look. the hair is a bit iffy though.

  32. serapart June 19, 2012 at 17:07 #

she looks beautiful but the almost only one who can rock this length, be short and still look awesome is dita von teese! ;)

  33. Rebecca Z June 19, 2012 at 17:42 #

Though the skirt IS a tad long for her, she is really rocking this look. I didn’t like the hairstyle at first, but when you look at the closeup it and her makeup are gorgeous. Really a great look.

  34. Nancie June 19, 2012 at 17:49 #

Awesome ensemble but the length is ruining it for her!

  35. Nat June 19, 2012 at 17:49 #

Had the skirt been a little shorter (just under the knee) this would be my favourite look from her ever, by far.
The forest green and the details on the skirt are amazing.
For once, I also love her makeup and her hair.

  36. Amy June 19, 2012 at 17:51 #

love the dress. However on Kristen I would prefer shorter skirt, like an under the knee length (the same position on the model). The dress is a bit too long for Kristen so it ends up on her calves which is weird -looking. In overall I really like this look

  37. Marko_M June 19, 2012 at 18:49 #

As soon as I saw Kristen Stewart in Balmain, I had an entirely different image in my head…and this just surpassed it by a mile! She looks stunningly fresh, polished and chic. BDOTW contestant, for sure!

  38. Parvati June 19, 2012 at 19:02 #

That length is really awkward. I’m tired of seeing her in mini dresses, but this one could have been shortened a bit.

  39. poppy June 19, 2012 at 19:59 #

She looks stunning. The detail on the two peice is amazing.

  40. pear June 19, 2012 at 20:15 #

I love that dress. Kristen looks so good. the green is super pretty against her skin. I love that her style is evovling.

  41. Kara June 19, 2012 at 20:45 #

She looks gorgeous. Happy and confident. Love the whole look, let’s leave it at that.

  42. anna June 19, 2012 at 23:51 #

awful!!she sould have stuck to the minis..

  43. Dan Oliver June 20, 2012 at 00:17 #

she looks great i agree that the skirt is a little to long but i love the idea and the detailing of the outfit is great

  44. Molly June 20, 2012 at 00:37 #

I hate the hairstyle(if you can even call it that) and I think the skirt should be shorter so its the same length it is on the model, but other than that, she looks great. I do wish that she wore the belt though as I think that would have pulled everything together nicely.

  45. pipsqueak June 20, 2012 at 02:18 #

Terrible, overwhelming and comic. It looked as though Kristen walked out of a shower with hair in a bun and just wrapped herself in a rug.

    • jessie June 20, 2012 at 14:00 #

Have you seen the back of her hair? It’s a really nice braid. Too bad the pics don’t know that. It’s not just a messy bun.

  46. Fash June 20, 2012 at 02:43 #

I’ll give her points for not wearing a mini dress and looking like she somewhat wants to be there, but, as usual, she’s a red carpet fail. The hair looks ratty, her fingernails look chipped, the shoes don’t fit her feet and the outfit is ill-fitting.

    • Karina July 5, 2012 at 04:34 #

You seriously looked at her fingernails? Okay. And kitten heels are ill fitting on some people – including me.

  47. Jess2 June 20, 2012 at 03:29 #

LOVE it!! The detail on the top and skirt is amazing, they fit her perfectly and she carries this look off so well! Very happy to see her not wearing black pumps. I didn’t love the hair when I first saw it but after going through the different images to see different angles I do love it now.

  48. 666Amsterland June 20, 2012 at 09:06 #

the dress needs to be worn with the belt

  49. betty June 20, 2012 at 20:03 #

loving this outfit on her. yes it does look a tad long but it works on her for some reason. if it’s a few inches shorter, her legs would then look skinnier that usual cos she seems to have skinny lower legs. so i’m fine with this length actually. the detailing of this ensemble is to die for.

  50. Annel June 21, 2012 at 00:15 #

She looks strange here. Perhaps it’s the lenght of the skirt. I think it would have worked out perfectly had she worn another of her traditional mini skirts: They fit her – or her legs – well :) Hair and attitude is lovely though!

  51. Gena June 21, 2012 at 05:53 #

Love this look! I’m so glad she kept the original length of the skirt. It would have been a shame to cut up that beautiful pattern! Also the hair and makeup work really well here. She’s positively glowing!

    • whatilikeaboutkstew December 3, 2012 at 10:47 #

Kristen looks great ! Have you noticed that Kristen only does efforts with her hair when it’s not Twi-premiere ?

  52. IkeM June 23, 2012 at 01:15 #

The detailing and embellishment is gorgeous. The skirt length is really awkward though, a couple inches off the bottom could have made this look a 10 out of 10.
