Anna Friel was showing plenty of leg – well, both legs – on the red carpet for the ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ London premiere on Monday night.
Could the British actress be trying to upstage the main star Emma Stone by wearing this colourful Temperley London Spring 2012 gown?
I love the colour; it is such a bold hue to wear on the red carpet for a summer blockbuster premiere.
She ramped up the cold-shoulder gown with two splits by adding animal-print accessories including a belt and wedges.
A black clutch, a simple updo and neutral makeup completed the look.
Do you prefer Emma’s or Anna’s look?

Urghh so trashy. Not liking the fabric the cut the slit the belt.
That’s exactly what went through my mind.
I only like the colour.
and the shoes ! oh my goodness what was she thinking? leopard-print wooden wedges? i nearly fell off my chair
Emma’s by a long mile. I like the color, but I feel like the accessories really cheapen the look.

She looks amazing and the updo is so graceful. I wish we could see her more often on the Red Carpet.
I agree. Am I the only one who finds Rhys Ifans a couple that makes sense?
I love Anna and I am glad she changed the color.
She is a Temperley London devotee.
this dress looks cheap and ill-fitted
This is so tacky. The colour is nice as you said, FC, but those yards of satin, the cut, the weird matching leopard print shoes and belt?? What was she thinking. And definitely inappropriate when it’s not your premiere- there’s an etiquette to attending as a plus one (for men and for women)!
I don’t like the wedges.

It looks cheap and the fabric is not flattering.
Emma wins for me. I’m not a fan of anything about this look. I would have preferred the runway version (love those shoes!) on someone with legs that go on forever.
Not a fan of the double slits–makes it looks diaperish. The shoes are just inexplicable–why would you choose those?
I definitely prefer Emma’s look!
Anna’s shoes ruin the whole look for me! Why would anyone wear these wedges with a gown?
