Jaime King joined Zoe Saldana on the red carpet for the Persol Magnificent Obsessions: 30 Stories Of Craftmanship In Film Event at Museum of the Moving Image in the Queens borough of New York City last night.
The actress wore a Peter Pilotto Spring 2012 dress.
Her racer front-and-back dress features the designer’s signature hyper-vivid digital prints.
It looks like she had the same idea as Zoe by wearing her hair back to showcase the sunglasses at this event.
From the ankles – or in this case the calves – up, I like this look.
The gold Christian Louboutin Lady Max spike-embellished metallic leather sandals are a bold but odd choice with this sky-blue dress. I would’ve gone for silver to complement the grey.
What do you think? Yay or nay on her footwear choice?

I absolutely adore this dress and Jaime in it, but the shoes are just a bit too “glam”. It would’ve been a perfect look had she worn the runway shoes. And the sunglasses kinda bug me too.
Definitely nay on her footwear choice. The dress however looks better on her than on the model.
+1
I fail to like any Peter Pilotto looks for a long while and this is no exception.
The gold heels are baffling with this dress. Silver or white sandals would have been my choice.
+1. Zero logic.
gotta say least they arent heavy black daffodils, cachays or tributes. the dress is pretty.
The dress looks cute on her but I agree. Silver sandals would have been better.
Those pieces (except for sunglasses, not a fan on red carpet with it) are gorgeous. I want those shoes really bad.
This dress is such utter perfection and epitomized brilliance that it is a damn shame it is paired with such underwhelming accessories. Sigh. But god, what a season for Pilotto. I still dream about it.
I really don’t mind the shoes, I find them pretty non intrusive because they are so thin & delicate, but I agree that the silver version would have made a lot more sense here. I still love her in this dress though, and given how divine it is, I’m glad she didn’t ruin it with seriously heinous shoes, like those Prada loafers she wore once, or ankle boots.
She looks great. A bit OTT in dressing at this event but she looks good.
I agree, ankles/calves up this look is fab but the shoes are a bad choice.
prefer the booties the model is wearing.
usually im not a fan of boots+dress but in the model they work
I guess I’m pretty much the only one who is going to say this, but I did’t like the dress very much, the shoes, on the other hand, are perfect!! I’m crazy about them
:)
