Mary J Blige joined Malin Akerman and Julianne Hough on the red carpet this evening for the ‘Rock Of Ages’ London premiere, held at the Odeon Leicester Square.
I’m so glad Mary had a chance to redeem herself following the unflattering dress she wore to the LA premiere.
On this occasion she wore a another dress designed by her BFF Catherine Malandrino, but with better results.
The Fall 2012 black leather dress with sheer and mesh panels was styled with two Eddie Bargo alternating pave cone bracelets.
She kept half of the rolled hairstyle she sported in LA, plus she also wore the same Barbara Bui sandals.
A nude lip colour and another pair of statement earrings completed her look.
Much improved or more of the same?

I prefer this one but I like neither. She wore a horribly fitting bra with the last dress, so I’m glad that that seems to have been avoided here. This dress is a little too reptilian for me personally, and I will never ever warm to her blonde hair. Even though it’s better than the last look, hwo could it not be, I’m diasppointed by how many similarities there are between them.
Not much, but somehow improved than her previous look. Her hairstyle doesn’t seem that much out of place here.
Love this one. The texture of the dress is really interesting and both the cut and fit of this is much more flattering.
This is MUCH better. I don’t love it, but I like it.
Much improved indeed; thank God for Malandrino… Mary should stick to her tried trusted brands: Michael Kors, Gucci and Malandrino
MUCH improved. I also don’t love it but she does look great, I would have loved to see a pop of color.
Better than the last outing.
I think the real problem is the hairstyle. I do however like this one better.
+1
She looks amazing. THIS is how you do edgy without looking tacky.
This look is better but I don’t like either look. This dress is cooler and more flattering but the styling really lets the look down
hate the hair. She looks alright.
MUCH improved!
It’s much improved from the LA premiere outfit, but it is quite similar to it, too.
