Jada Pinkett Smith was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City en route to the Capri Sun ‘Super V’ Launch which she was hosting at the Paramount Pictures Screening Room earlier today.
The actress wore a blazing red Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 strapless jumpsuit with a rosette and fold details.
Well it was a jumpsuit before the actress modified the look into a playsuit.
This is one of my favourite looks from Jada in recent times; she totally nails it.
She has the right attitude to pull it off plus I love the colour against her caramel skin tone.
Black ankle strap sandals and a gold bracelet completed her look.
You may remember that Kristen Wiig wore the look book version to the 2012 Writers Guild Awards earlier this year.
Do you like Jada’s playsuit or do you prefer the original jumpsuit?

I agree that she looks perfect, but I personally find that bottom too thight and short..Maybe I’m exaggerating but I find it inappropriate for her age
Have a nice weekend
I don’t really like the playsuit trend anyways, but the shorts look a little short and/or tight. Proportions seem off, more like for a child.
I agree! try hard!
I agree with you. This playsuit is too short, 10 cm more and it would have been very cute. I think that she’s trying too hard lately and her face expression is quite ridiculous. Being sexy is a very different thing for me.
she has such a great body! totally pulls this off
I like Jada’s playsuit, but I prefer the original jumpsuit. I love this jumpsuit more and more since we see it on the right side every day.
+ 1. I’ve been drooling over this jumpsuit since it was one of the favourites. I like the playsuit, but I think Jada would have looked amazing in the original version.
I like this on Jada. I still think she is trying to look 20, but she is smokin.
I loved the jumpsuit on Kristen Wigg and I like this version too. I don’t mind the black shoes as they are strappy and sexy.
If there’s anything I dislike more than a jumpsuit, it’s a playsuit, haha…so, yeah, this doesn’t work for me. It’s too tight and tiny, imo. The vibrant color is the only thing I like about this.
I like this…..
She looks great, but what kind of event is this?
A pool party? Fashionable picnic?
Even if I looked as good as Jada does in this — (no chance of that!!!) — I would never dream of wearing it on the streets of New York. It looks like a playsuit. It IS a playsuit.
I just don’t know.
A little over the top, but she can pull it off, so why not?
i dont think so, pulling something off isnt just about the body. she is an old woman, a mother! this is inappropriate! i think shes just seeking attention
i love this look
i don’t think it’s age inappropriate because she has just the body to make it work! i just love jada’s style these days, who knew that this was to follow her 80s pop disaster?!
I think the age appropriate guidelines need to move with the times. Many of these rules were set back when women didn’t go to the gym. Nowadays, 40 and 50 somethings have rock hard bodies that deserves some showcasing.
yes, absolutely
I think she looks amazing, her body looks hot in this jumpsuit! I’m not a huge fan of Jada’s style but this I do like. Love actually.
Too short. It looks like she is trying way too hard. I don’t mean to sound rude, but she looks like a street walker, especially in these shoes.
+1 unfortunately
Jada does have the body for this look, but just because you can doesn’t always mean you should.
I like this look, but the tailoring is a little off, and I think that there is a disconnect between the hair & makeup and the rest of the outfit.
She is brave for wearing a red strapless, short playsuit with six inch stilettos (Jimmy Choo “Greta”, from their Icons range, inspired by Greta Garbo, which she has also worn in gold).
She had the great idea to shorten it…. it looks perfect on her and I also love the color!
Not into the shoes (though I get it). Nice outfit, though. Red looks great on her.
Love your dress – the red color looks so wonderful…
Like the jumpsuit version better. She is hot enough to pull the play suit off, but like some have said, seems inappropriate for her age.
I like the long version better, but I think it was the right decision for her to shorten it.
I think she looks like she is wearing an old timey swimsuit. She would have looked great in the jumpsuit version.
I loved it more as a jumpsuit. Why did she even folded them I will never understand, it’s like making it a daisy duke. It’s too young for her. And if you’re gonna wear that, you need to have legs as long as Stacy Keibler.
Jada’s playsuit is way better than the look book version.
The long version is waaaay better.
Jada looks fantastic!
jada has the body and attitude to pull this off but i still think she looks half naked here…
I like the playsuit but not as much as the longer jumpsuit. Jada definitely has an amazing body and has the attitude to pull this look off but something doesn’t seem right
The original version has “class” all written over it, the one with shorts… not so much. Jada’s got the body for it though.
love it when a post provokes so much love
& hate! ^^
I do love both looks, the jumpsuit is very ladylike, the playsuit, well playful. I wish i had her killer legs..
I like both versions. Jada’s and the lookbook. She is nailing each look with sass. I am loving her new style!
She has the legs to wear the shorts but I would have loved to see the jumpsuit with the long pants.
This is really funny.. If Jlo uses something like that.. everybody said she had to dresses her age…
