Katy Perry In Carven – Apollo West End Cinema

Katy Perry was spotted arriving at the Apollo West End cinema in London today, to preview her new 3D documentary-concert movie, ‘Part of Me’.

The singer appears to have temporarily ditched the Gothic-glam look for something a bit more girlie.

She wore a Carven Resort 2012 dress.

Her tonal blue-and-yellow all-over map print silk shirt dress features a pointed white collar, a four button placket, and a twisted knot detail at the waist to which she still added a tan belt.

Katy’s quirky yet cool frock was styled with a grey cashmere collarless coat, a pair of black leather platform brogues and some cool cat-eye shades.

A dash of pink lippie and glossy, straight purple tresses completed her look.

Katy is the third celebrity in so many days to be seen wearing Carven following Beyonce Knowles and Jessica Chastain.

‘Part of Me’ is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2012.

The brogues are horrendously ugly. Even though it was probably chilly, she shouldn’t have worn the tights. I have little sympathy or religious reverence to practicality when it comes to tights. Thankfully Victoria Beckham and FC don’t think I’m that nuts as Zooey Deschanel or Alexa Chung would.

    Confusing.
I realize the cool weather is proving a problem for summer dressing, but I’m still annoyed when people throw fall coats/blazers over summery outfits. If it’s too cold outside to wear the dress, don’t wear it.
This dress (without the unnecessary belt) would be cute on a hot day, especially with some quirky sandals. But with a cashmere coat, black tights, and clunky black shoes? I don’t think so.

I can’t quie express hwo much I loved this dress when I first saw it, so the amount of disappointment I have at this lok is indescribable. To me she si someone who just doesn’t really have a style. As FC says, today she is trying to be Gothic, her original quirky, mayeb slightly skimpy, retro look was her best. Everything since then has been awful.
