Jennifer Hudson In Givenchy – Samsung’s Annual Hope for Children Gala

Jennifer Hudson attended Samsung’s Annual Hope for Children Gala at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday in New York City.

The singer/actress and living proof that Weight Watchers does work wore a Givenchy Spring 2012 head-to-toe look.

She teamed a peach sleeveless silk shirt featuring a large pointed collar and a silver-tone metal top clasp fastening with a stretch fine jersey knit skirt with a circular cut-out hem.

Peachy Givenchy ankle-strap sandals, which we’ve seen on Cassie and Diane Kruger, plus a selection of gold jewels accessorized her look.

I love the look, but I’m not crazy about her curly hair. It feels so fussy for this chic ensemble.

I would’ve also loved it if Jennifer had opted for a natural nail colour: the lavender polish is jarring.

You can buy Jennifer’s Givenchy shirt from and S|

Her Givenchy skirt is available in black from and in white from S|

Since Diane Kruger wore these Givenchy heels in white they have sold-out, but and
Selfridges have them in black.

I agree about the hair and the nails. If those were fixed this would be a flawless look. She needs to retire that pose ASAP too.

    This is a mess.

I think the hair and nail polish is bringing this look down. The hair is too much for the sleek look, had her hair been straightened or pulled back into a tidy pony I think it would have made this look great. Other than that I like the outfit and she is looking lovely 🙂

She generally does fine with gowns. But in more casual looks she’s all over the place. It’s so weird — her more casual looks in Weight Watchers commmercials are fabulous h2t, at least in the commercials I’ve seen. Something gets lost in translation in real life.

    She should’ve look Solange’s style.

She killed my favorite look from Givenchy. I hate her.

I would love to see Jen wear ONE consistent short hair style. Like, a chic bob. And the runway look in a size that actually fits would have been great on her. This whole look just comes off as TRY HARD. not chic and effortless. You can tell she loves fashion, but she needs someone with a more elegant eye as her stylist.

Alicia Kays did the ss12 Givenchy look 100 times better in Paris at the Givenchy show and afterparty!!

I absolutely loathe the runway pants, but the overall look there was so much more effortless. On Jennifer, it feels fussy, and somehow cheap. The hair definitely has something to do with it. She should have worn it slicked back with this look. The lavender nails feel harsh too.

    Those bangs are a tragedy.

The sandals match the dress perfectly but I don’t like this whole thing on her (esp. with that hair that doesn’t flatter her), it’s like she’s been trying a bit too hard to show off that slimmed down figure of hers lately, she’s starting to look tacky.

I love her, but this is not the right fit for her … I am afraid.
