Solange Knowles was a burst of bright colour on the red carpet at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, held at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City yesterday evening.
Not one to shy away from a bold hue, Solange stood out in a white-and-yellow Marni Spring 2012 dress.
From a distance, the v-neck shift looks like a classic tweed, but the patterned dress is actually created by large paillettes.
Adding a funky touch, Solange accessorizes with a bold patterned Marni clutch and knit Missoni sandals with clear straps and a cylindrical heel.
Her signature fro and bronzed makeup complete the look.

The dress looks amazing on her but I’m not a fan of the clutch and the shoes.
Can you imagine how hard it must be to stand out if your sister is Beyonce? She looks fab, and has suceeded in carving out her own strong identity and look. I love this look.

Solange Nailed it with this look love everything. She has been perfection in her recent looks and is easily a fashion icon!!! She keeps things interesting and doesn’t conform to any fashion rules or standards. Can’t wait for what she brings with her new album.
This dresss is so pretty in real life .When I saw it in the store I did not recognise from the runway picture. I adore the shoes but not sure if I would wear it with this dress- they go but the dress is so powerful that I would let it speak for itself. But I am nit picking.

I love the way Solange puts things together, this is a big win in my book, love the way she accessorizes.
I usually don’t like Marni very much, but in this case I love Solange’s look. The dress is a lot better than the runway one.
I also love her shoe choice, but I’m not too keen on the clutch, that’s the only thing I would change.
