Leighton Meester In Versus – ‘That’s My Boy’ LA Premiere

Leighton Meester was back on the red carpet last night for the ‘That’s My Boy’ premiere, held at the Regency Village Theatre Westwood, California, yesterday evening.

Some of you have stated that you haven’t been that impressed with Leighton on the red carpet this year, so how does this Versus Fall 2012 look fair?

Her blue-and-black tie-dye asymmetrical dress with a black lace-up cord detail on the left shoulder was accessorized with a Versace black clutch.

She piled on the bling with a Pomellato ‘Tango’ rose-gold-and-brown diamond bracelet, a Samira 13 ring and Neil Lane earrings.

Black Jimmy Choo ‘Liv’ sandals, wavy locks and glossy lips completed her look.

Her dress seems nice enough, but I’m not as wowed by the look, which is an odd feeling.

Maybe her lighter locks will grow on me, but I’m hoping she returns to being a rich, full brunette soon.

I really like the dress but she should have kept her hair on one side so we cold have seen the detail on the shoulder.

      I agree.

She looks adorable! Love love the shoes.

    LOVE!!!!!!! The Choo’s….

I hope she goes back to full brunette too. It is the hair that brings the look down for me.

And I think that she should have worn it in a ponytail this time.

I don’t know if it’s just how it photographs, but her hair looks strangely ombre. The front/top is light while the rest is still brunette. Calls attention to her face in a bad way.

      me too

she looks cute and appropriate for this movie premiere. And I really like the shoes

I don’t like those lace chord details. Really distracting.

  7. Jess2 June 5, 2012 at 12:54 #

I think she looks awesome and I am soo in love with her shoes!!

Nothing like her healthy looking brunette locks. Hope this hair is for a movie role or a mini phase. The shoes are better than the last outing–in black no less–but much better than any nude pump on any given day. The dress is ok! I am not wowed by the styling here.

Better hair and make up would have vastly improved this look!

I’m missing the makeup, too. Her whole face+hair looks washed in comparision to her older self.

The dress looks cheap imo and she should have obviously pulled up her hair or straightened it because those curls don’t work with the the edgy dress. I’m also not on board with the lighter colour.

I think she looks great and the Jimmy Choos are to die for!
It’s her second look, that I like this year.

Looks like someone redeemed themselves from the MTV awards. This is much more Leighton. Im with you FC, I prefer rich brunette on her creamy skin and we will see it soon because Gossip Girl season 6 should start shooting soon :)

She looks great but I still am nto getting hte wow factor I used to get from her. I think a high pony tail & smokier eyes would have made the look have mroe impact, and dark nails would have increased that too.

i feel like something is missing, but i’m glad she’s bringing the fun shoes back. FC do you know if she has changed stylists? her past few appearances have been so lackluster compared to her look last fall.

  15. rebecca o June 5, 2012 at 15:26 #

Her hair is awful and the dress looks cheap.

  16. Shaina June 5, 2012 at 15:38 #

The dress does look a little cheap but this is a big step up from her last look, in my opinion. I do love the shoes.

  17. Rebecca Z June 5, 2012 at 16:16 #

She looks cute, but it isn’t a wow.

She looks really pretty, but not like Leighton. The dress is okay. I can’t really see the jewelry, and that’s probably a good thing since I can’t picture brown diamonds with a blue and black dress. But the shoes! I love the shoes. For Christmas, I’d like ten minutes in her shoe closet.

  19. Martina June 5, 2012 at 18:09 #

I also think she sould’ve worn hair either on one side or in a ponytail so we could see the detail on the dress. Other than that I don’t have anything I don’t like. Gotta say, I’m IN LOVE with those shoes!! :)

  20. Nirina June 5, 2012 at 18:39 #

i really LOVE this whole outfit!!! i really hope Leighton will continue to go up from here. i must say that look at the MET Gala was woeful..this is much better. agree that her hair looks much nicer when its fully dark, but here it fits, with both the look and the season :)

She looks nice but she’s not wowing me. I hate the hair, it’s so flat and lifeless.

  22. cascia June 5, 2012 at 20:10 #

    I love the shoes

  23. Parvati June 5, 2012 at 20:17 #

I really like this look. In fact, the only thing I don’t like is the hair. I prefer her as a brunette and I also think she should have opted for an updo, so that the shoulder details would have been visible.

    • lou June 5, 2012 at 22:32 #

      I agree

This Versus collection was so good (so much better than the latest Versace one), I’m glad it’s gettin’ lots of red carpet moments. I love this look, it works for her because most of the time she comes across as tryin’ too hard. The hair could be more interesting.

  25. EmmaWoodhouse June 6, 2012 at 00:09 #

For a mini dress, I really like it. It’s beachy and laidback yet also edgy. The shoes are great. She looks so much better here than she has lately. I like her clutch.
