Following an unfortunate showing at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, Julianne Hough quickly bounced back at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, held in New York City on Monday night.
Julianne looked stunning wearing a Kaufmanfranco Chinese red stretch-crepe gown.
Flashing some skin in a plunging neckline, the petite actress manages to look both sweet and slightly sexy – just the right fit for her bubbly persona.
I’m glad that Julianne ignored the urge to add a sparkly necklace to her bare collarbone – diamond earrings and a gold box clutch to match the metallic belt buckle are just the right amount of bling.
A purposely messy updo and smoky eyes complete the look.

She looks good. Simple and chic.

Thank gosh she ditched that tan. Her skin looks amazing and this is certainly one of her best look.
She looks gorgeous, this is one of her best looks of late.
+1 Hope she brings it for the Rock of Ages L.A premiere.
This is definitely the best she ever look.
This is the best she has looked in a very long time. Huge step up from the MTV movie awards. She probably did that on purpose so we could be wowed by this look!
Great look for Julianne. I have to say I like it better than Sophia Bush’s.
She looks so much better when she’s not orangey tan!!! The color of this dress is my first main issue–it’s just sort of a blah burnt orange. In electric blue, I would DIE.
Also, the plunging neckline. It shows too much skin. I know that I have hard and fast opinion on this, but I’m stickin’ to it!
I meant to add that I love her hair and styling. Glad that she abstained from a necklace. As Chanel said, “elegance is refusal.”
