Crystal Reed attended the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, held in Universal City, California, on Sunday evening.
The ‘Teen Wolf’ star wore an Issa London Fall 2012 dress.
Her gold-and-seafoam-green metallic dress with a flared skirt was styled with jewels by Made Her Think, Starburst, and Le Vian.
As much as I love the dress, I’m not a fan of those Walter Steiger ankle boots. What a way to weigh down and ruin a look.
A wavy updo, dark eye makeup, and a light-pink lip shade provided the finishing touches.

What was her thinking to pair a gorgeous dress with those boots?
Clunky ankle boots. Ruining pretty dresses since 2009? Or 2010? Can’t remember how long but it’s been too long.
Crystal was the duck were you thinking? You look RIDICULOUS with those shoes. Horrid. Those shoes are ugly and unflattering to being with. I can’t imagine them working with anything. It is official- she doesn’t have a stylist, as even a Black Plague loving stylist wouldn’t let her wear those monstrosities with this look.
I think she look better in her character in Teen Wolf. Those stunning curls and her beautiful eyes are lost in this picture.
The boots are so heaaaavy!

I was about to say “what a cute and interesting look”…but then I scrolled down and I got to the shoes.
Why didn’t she keep the runway sandals (without the leggins of course)? They would have worked great.

Wrong choice with the boots. I believe she was trying to break up the look with something edgy. She failed. Such a beautiful girl but them shoes are a no with that dress.

The dress looked better on the runway, despite the ugly leggings. On Crystal, it’s still quite cute–I love the print and the color, the fabric just looks a bit too shiny on her–but THOSE BOOTS. I’m speechless. The runway sandals would have been 1000% better. I am so chagrined by her choice!
How fortuitous that the dress matches the backdrop. It’s very nice. I’m ignoring the footwear so that I can remain cheerful.
