Louise Roe In Manish Arora – NYLON Magazine June/July Music Issue Launch Party

Some stars seem to have difficulty stepping outside the comfort zone of an LBD (ahem, Jennifer Aniston), but Louise Roe is certainly not one of them.

The fashion journalist showed off her love for bright colours in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, attending the NYLON Magazine June/July Music Issue Launch Party.

We have not seen much of Louise on the red carpet this year, but it was impossible to miss her on this occasion, as she donned a neon-print Manish Arora dress.

A high neckline and exaggerated hips, and a mash-up of pink, blue and fluorescent yellow comprises most of the dress, before transitioning into a green and orange splatter-print skirt.

Somehow, the journalist manages to pull the entire look together, thanks to a matching orange Accessorize ‘Alba’ clutch and simple black Ruthie Davis sandals.

Loose waves and a glossy lippie complete the look.

I really wish she’d have quit posing for just one picture so I could see what the dress actually looks like. I think I might like it.

It’s actually pink clutch instead of orange that comes to mind, it would hold the look together better. She really should’ve done something about that drab hair.

Love it, totally cool! Finally something new, very refreshing! BDOTW!

I look forward to Manish Arora sightings, and this one doesn’t disappoint. He’s a genius.

Everything is impeccable from the neck down. I don’t like her hair or makeup.

Hair could be better. The dress is okay, not really into neon colors.

  7. Shaina June 1, 2012 at 16:45 #

Absolutely love this look head to toe. BDOTW worthy!

I agree with those who nominate this for BDOTW – Louise looks fabulous, love all the details too, like her clutch, shoes, makeup and nail polish, very chic.

I was going to add, “ahem, Charlize Thereon” lol. 😀
I love the clutch. However, I wish she’d worn an updo…and despite my appreciation for her daring, I really don’t like the dress. It looks like a very ugly rug, the kind that would give you a migraine if you stared too long at it!

You can tell she loves fashion. I love this look apart from the shoes.

This is another BDOTW-contender in my eyes.

Fergie already worn this dress last year! Im sure she did!!

  13. firien June 1, 2012 at 12:22 #

I wish she had done something with her hair… it looks lifeless and really unflattering with the shape of her head.

      +1

Agree-she looks like she got rained on the way to the event. Love the dress and the styling otherwise.

    love this!

Her clutch is from Accessorize, I have the black version.
I don’t like the green and orange print of this dress, I would’ve loved it if the dress only had the upper print.

    • Fashion Critic June 1, 2012 at 13:07 #

thanks a lot. I’m going to buy the pink version.

    • Jones19 June 1, 2012 at 23:48 #

OMG I have this clutch in green! They didn’t have any other colors when I was shopping there but I was looking for a green clutch so 😀 The color that I have is not an option on the website though. Anyway I’m so excited! 😀

I wish the pattern from the top half continued the whole way down… The orange/green at the bottom is doing nothing for me! I love everything else though!

  19. Zina June 1, 2012 at 11:53 #

I love this dress! I find it slightly unfortunate that people in the West people tend to wear less colorful clothes, especially among the public people often stick to marine, grey, brown, khaki and beige pieces most of the time.
