Blake Lively For Bullett Magazine Summer 2012

Blake Lively may be gearing up for the last season of ‘Gossip Girl’, but with her new movie ‘Savages’ set to hit theatres on July 6, the actress is clearly not slowing down.

She appears on the summer 2012 issue of Bullett magazine wearing a gorgeous white Louis Vuitton dress shot by David Slijper.

The rest of her editorial sees her wearing a range of looks from sweet to sultry by Bill Blass, Cushnie et Ochs, Lanvin and Prada.

This has truly whetted my appetite for this promo tour.

The 24-year-old actress doesn’t talk directly about her relationship with Ryan Reynolds, but she does dish on everything from the end of ‘Gossip Girl’ and relationships to her ‘Savages’ role as Ophelia.

On being excited for ‘Gossip Girl’ to end: “I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing!”

On being slow to build friendships/relationships: “The way that I meet people is the same way that I’ve always met people. It might be weird if I was on JDate, but I’m not, so that’s good. I meet so many people in passing at parties, but I’ve never been a person who’s like, I know I just met you, but let’s exchange numbers and be best friends.”

On studying for her ‘Savages’ role of Ophelia: “I started thinking about the state of young people these days. In my character’s situation, her mom is off with nine different husbands and her dad left her when she was a kid. She has nobody to learn from, so she’s making her own mistakes. Dad takes a hike and now she’s hiking up her dress for two guys. You don’t think there’s a parallel there? These kids are very much the product of this cynical generation.”

Beautiful clothes, but she has always the same expression, in every photos.

its so lifeless. most actresses cant pose well.

i LOVE the white dress with the silver belt attachment thing

Which is terrible if you’re trying to be a ‘serious actress’…

      + 1

+1 — I was about to type the same thing. She has the same vacant expression on her face in every photo…NEXT!

      • Emi June 1, 2012 at 08:59 #

Vacant, exactly. FC, I wrote about this before, am I the only one who doesn’t receive any emails when someone replies to my comments? Sorry, I don’t want to bother you, but I like the way it worked before, now I find out that somebody replied because I read the post again.

I will get someone to look into it. I don’t know what the issue is and I’m not really technical with this type of stuff.

I feel so strongly about this that I must say it in caps- WHY IS HER HAIR LIKE THAT IN EVERY PICTURE?? WHY???

    • dee May 31, 2012 at 17:26 #

LOL, your comment is funny. I agree and I don’t even like her hair like that.

    • Jones19 May 31, 2012 at 23:34 #

Ditto. Why didn’t they style it differently than her character on Gossip Girl? Some variety would have been nice.

    • Jess2 June 1, 2012 at 10:46 #

It bothered me as well, I wish they mixed it up a little bit.

she looks great and she’s obviously very pretty, but i find her redundant when it comes to her look both in and out of magazines. it’s always the same: messy hair and short dress, ponytail and body hugging dress, chanel or marchesa. it’s interesting that she says she plays a caricature of herself on GG in this interview, because i think she’s really pigeon-holed herself into this look and image. with all of the access she has it would be nice to see her try something outside of bedhead and a body-baring dress.

    Expressionless.

  6. EmmaWoodhouse May 31, 2012 at 17:55 #

I wish that she had different hairstyling in these photos…the messy look works but I would like some variety. That said, some of looks are good–I love the cover and the Chanel dress is difficult but she pulls it off well. (I think it’s the same that Audrey Tatou wore a while back).
The other looks are too typically “pin-up.” I’m not a fan of that look.

  7. Emma May 31, 2012 at 19:19 #

Same expression in every photo. So boring!

  8. Yeliz May 31, 2012 at 20:44 #

The same expression and the hair bothers me too. A very uninspiring photoshoot.

  9. Christine May 31, 2012 at 23:16 #

    Great editorial

  10. Amy June 1, 2012 at 01:22 #

I think it’s a great editorial and you can’t blame Blake for the same hair or type of clothes because she’s not the one who picked them, the magazine fashion stylist did.
    She’s really pretty

  11. rita June 1, 2012 at 09:42 #

She bores me to no end! Her interviews make her sound unintelligent or shallow. Maybe it’s just me… She should also change her hairstyle, like Leighton Meester.

Cushnie et Ochs dress is my fav.she is so pretty

  13. Jess2 June 1, 2012 at 11:07 #

Love the Chanel and Cushnie et Ochs dresses/images. I do wish she had changed things up with her hair.
