Kristen Bell showed her support to Melissa Magsaysay who had a party to celebrate the launch of her new book ‘City of Style’ in LA last week.
The actress selected a 3.1 Phillip Lim cascade-front silk dress.
I love the summery, peachy colour and those sky-blue ShoeMint heels are divine, but the dress screams maternity to me.
Had this been worn by Reese Witherspoon it would’ve been alright, but I’m guessing Kristen isn’t preggo.
This look would’ve worked better for me had Kristen opted to belt this dress.
A lovely braided hairstyle and pretty makeup completed the look.

The maternity issue aside (she does look awfully shapeless), sky blue and warm peachy do not go well together, would’ve pereferred more complementary sandals.
+1. The colors are awful together. This might have been saved with a belt and gold sandals.
LOL. My first question was : ” Is she pregnant?”.
Her makeup and hair are flawless.
I love her hair though!
I totally agree with you. My first thought was “Here comes all the tabloid pregnancy speculation!”
To me, the zipper makes the dress look backwards.
+1
Belt it, wear different shoes, and liven it up with different accessories–then I might like it.
Her looks nice.
Bun-in-the-oven friendliness aside, I love the dress on Kristen. It’s adorable and the color is divine. But she certainly needed a (thin) belt. I love everything else about the look. Kristen Bell is just so cute it hurts. Sigh.
It would be funny if she was actually pregnant, then we would have to giggle and bite our words
I agree about wearing a belt. The color of the dress, her make-up and especially her hair are gorgeous though.
I love her but I don’t like this outfit- it’s not flattering. I DO love her hair though
The heels are the ‘Kathryn’ pumps from ShoeMint, which is Rachel Bilson’s version of Kate Bosworth’s JewelMint, except obviously shoes not jewelry, so are super affordable, too.
thanks
Most of you are recommending this dress for a pregnant woman. Okay, but I also recommend it for a 2-5 yr old little girl going to a summer wedding or christening. I’d style it with white Mary-Janes and anklet socks.
I’m all for being cutesy and young, if that’s true to your personality, as it is for Kristen, but there are limits.
LOL I agree. word for word
I don’t mind shapeless dresses from time to time, the dress works for me,
The shoes, however, do not.
Missing the belt.
I don’t think a belt could save the dress, I love this color on her but the zipper really kills the look for me. Her hair and makeup look great and I love the shoes.
love her hair like that,if only I cld do that, but I have 2 left hands, don’t know to do anything at all with my hair.dress def looks like maternity wear, like the shoes, nice color.
I’m definitely in the minority because I like this dress. I honestly can’t imagine it with a belt, given the chiffon-looking cascade. I’m not crazy about the blue shoes, but I think her hair is absolutely gorgeous.
I already thought she was pregnant when I saw her at MET Gala. But then the other appearances were normal and now… THIS!
