Camila Alves joined her beau Matthew McConaughey on the red carpet last night for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of his lastest movie, ‘Mud’.
Now this is how you dress for a premiere at Cannes.
The Brazilian beauty took my breath away wearing this stunning Marchesa Fall 2012 gown.
This strapless silver draped tulle gown with a ruffled skirt and embroidered bodice detail was made to be displayed at the Palais des Festivals.
She brings the gown alive in a way the model just couldn’t with her flawless makeup, radiant olive skin and diamond encrusted jewels.
A pink glossy pout and a wavy updo completed her look.
This is one of the more memorable moments at Cannes don’t you think?

I think it has some kind of a metallic skirt that the tulle is sewn on to.

Wow, I don’t think she ever wore such a “busy” gown on the red carpet. But this works so beautifully for her, great look, upstaging the star of the movie. What was she wearing at The Paperboy premiere? Didn’t she attend?

This has got to be one of my favourite Marchesa gowns! Dramatic, gorgeous, and intricately made, this gown is made for her! My absolute fave look from Camila.
Maybe I’m the only one, but I don’t like it. The bodice isn’t memorable, and the skirt looks like plastic wrap–very odd. Not one of my favorite Marchesa’s or my favorite looks by a very long shot. Also her earrings are too much.

I really hate Marchesa. For all I care they could shut that crazy tulle dresses factory down. But I do love Camila because her attitude and her flawless styling are making the difference here. They’re selling this look, not the dress. She really managed to emerge from the sea of tulle in a way that we can clearly see that she’s wearing the dress and not the other way around. So kudos for her for being able to turn a potentially messy dress into a glamourous red carpet hit.

Wooooow. Her skin tone is amazing in that dress. I love the design, it stands alone a stunning look and somehow she makes it pop even more. I also feel like she is wearing it well, not letting the gown wear her.
