Camila Alves In Marchesa – ‘Mud’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Camila Alves joined her beau Matthew McConaughey on the red carpet last night for the 2012 Cannes Film Festival premiere of his lastest movie, ‘Mud’.

Now this is how you dress for a premiere at Cannes.

The Brazilian beauty took my breath away wearing this stunning Marchesa Fall 2012 gown.

This strapless silver draped tulle gown with a ruffled skirt and embroidered bodice detail was made to be displayed at the Palais des Festivals.

She brings the gown alive in a way the model just couldn’t with her flawless makeup, radiant olive skin and diamond encrusted jewels.

A pink glossy pout and a wavy updo completed her look.

This is one of the more memorable moments at Cannes don’t you think?

I’m Brazilian and so proud to see her looking this great!!! This dress is just amazing and her pose here is certainly doing the gown justice.

I will remembered today coz Cannes offered me 2 gowns that i loved the most. First Reese and now Camilla (both are BDOTY-worthy).
After seen them, i just forget the other looks (except Paz Vega’s Stephane Rolland). Don’t you think so, FC?

      yes

  4. Yeliz May 27, 2012 at 15:06 #

Definitely a more memorable moment. She looks breathtaking.

She’s really really really really beautiful. She has the look and elegance. She wears the only marchesa dress who don’t make me puke.
it’s a shame you don’t have a front photo of the couple. Interracial couples are always pleasant to see. This is one of the most beautiful dresses of the festival. 10/10

This was my favorite look from marchesa’s fall collection. I’m just wondering, wwhy is it so shiny? Do you know what fabric it’s made of?

    • Molly May 27, 2012 at 18:06 #

I think it has some kind of a metallic skirt that the tulle is sewn on to.

  7. Christine May 27, 2012 at 15:20 #

    Stunning!

  8. Reagan May 27, 2012 at 15:23 #

OMG. She rocked that gown. She’s my best dressed of Cannes.

  9. Alina May 27, 2012 at 15:28 #

Wow! Love the way she’s working it!

“This is one of the more memorable moments at Cannes don’t you think?” Oh yes, I totally agree. Everything in this look is gorgeous.

Camila is stunning! She has poise, beauty and class. She never shows to much skin, always have the right accessories, plus a great body. She is a natural, born for the red carpet!

  12. Tati M May 27, 2012 at 15:48 #

I don’t like the fabric of the skirt

  13. justme May 27, 2012 at 16:04 #

As far as I’m concerned, Matthew is her plus one, not the other way around.
    I can’t even… just true goddess.

  14. jo May 27, 2012 at 16:32 #

Yes it is, but still no one has beaten Paz Vega for me. She and Reese are very close though.

  15. Leo May 27, 2012 at 18:30 #

Wow, I don’t think she ever wore such a “busy” gown on the red carpet. But this works so beautifully for her, great look, upstaging the star of the movie. What was she wearing at The Paperboy premiere? Didn’t she attend?

  16. Rebecca Z May 27, 2012 at 18:43 #

How can any single human being be so perfect. She truly is a stunner and the dress is just to die for. Such class and poise. Perfect.

  17. Elle May 27, 2012 at 19:34 #

Gorgeous! This is definitely my favourite Marchesa dress we have seen at Cannes so far this year.

  18. Ramsay May 27, 2012 at 19:56 #

Doesn’t anyone else think that unless you’re star of the movie, this dress (no matter how good it is) is too much?

    • Fashion Critic May 27, 2012 at 20:01 #

At Cannes all bets are off for me.

    • christine May 27, 2012 at 23:26 #

yes! i was thinking the same thing. or maybe if she had toned it down a bit; kept the dress but lost the earrings, its just too much.

  19. Amy May 27, 2012 at 20:55 #

I like the dress but I’m not as stunned as everyone else.

  20. Tina May 27, 2012 at 21:01 #

This has got to be one of my favourite Marchesa gowns! Dramatic, gorgeous, and intricately made, this gown is made for her! My absolute fave look from Camila.

  21. EmmaWoodhouse May 27, 2012 at 22:47 #

Maybe I’m the only one, but I don’t like it. The bodice isn’t memorable, and the skirt looks like plastic wrap–very odd. Not one of my favorite Marchesa’s or my favorite looks by a very long shot. Also her earrings are too much.

  22. Shaina May 27, 2012 at 23:07 #

Gorgeous! She really puts the model to shame. I adore this color on her and the bodice is just stunning.

  23. Jones19 May 27, 2012 at 23:27 #

It’s a glamour moment but this gown looks so cheap that I can’t love it.

  24. Jess2 May 28, 2012 at 10:10 #

Love it, I think this dress looks better on Camila than on the model, she looks fantastic.

  25. roxana May 28, 2012 at 11:51 #

    gorgeus!

  26. Gabriela May 28, 2012 at 12:20 #

“Just” a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress!! *_*

  27. Neli May 28, 2012 at 14:09 #

Stunning! This is Cannes outift! Pure Glamour!

  28. gabis May 28, 2012 at 17:17 #

I really hate Marchesa. For all I care they could shut that crazy tulle dresses factory down. But I do love Camila because her attitude and her flawless styling are making the difference here. They’re selling this look, not the dress. She really managed to emerge from the sea of tulle in a way that we can clearly see that she’s wearing the dress and not the other way around. So kudos for her for being able to turn a potentially messy dress into a glamourous red carpet hit.

  29. bianca May 28, 2012 at 21:17 #

    She’s fantastic!

Wooooow. Her skin tone is amazing in that dress. I love the design, it stands alone a stunning look and somehow she makes it pop even more. I also feel like she is wearing it well, not letting the gown wear her.
