With Diane Kruger’s Christian Dior Couture ballgown and Melanie Doutey’s uber sexy Pucci gown, you’d be forgiven for not recognising that it was actually Audrey Tautou’s night this evening as she stars in ‘Therese Desqueyroux’.
Joining her co-stars on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, the French actress was upstaged somewhat, but she still looked delightful in her vintage-inspired Prada dress.
The cream tea-length dress with an embroidered bodice and full pleated skirt was simply styled with nude pumps.
A cheeky rouge pout and voluminous waves completed her retro look.
Undeniable chic, as always.

This is really cute! Sure, it’s not as dramatic as Diane’s or Reese’s, but it oozes old time Parisian chic! I’m glad she wore a dress that is this length – we defs need more of these 3/4 dresses.

Her shoes look like Prada pumps to me, which I think are a nice version of nude pumps, and I have heard that ehr dress is Prada, too.
Audrey Tautou is the best example for Parisian chic.

I don’t think this is chic at all. This looks like something she fished out of an ancient trunk in her grandmother’s trunk and didn’t iron (I know it’s the nature of the fabric but still) it. It looks like wrinkled flesh. This is the CLOSING CEREMONY of Cannes. One must always go out with a bang, and this is hardly a bang.
I think she looks ethereal, actually. I don’t think she was upstaged.
I like the top but not the length of the dress. I’m not crazy about the color.
