Andie MacDowell and Sarah Margaret Qualley were pretty much joined at the hip as they made their way down the red carpet for this evening’s Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony and ‘ Therese Desqueyroux’ premiere.
Andie opted for pale pink Giorgio Armani strapless draped gown whilst her daughter, Sarah, wore Elie Saab.
The part-embellished, part flowing chiffon gown was accented with a thin leather green belt.
Unlike her mother’s wavy updo, Sarah opted for a clean simple bun.
Sarah allowed her gown to sparkle on its own, whereas Andie added diamond earrings and a silver cuff.
Both look gorgeous, but I’m not fond of Andie’s blush satin pumps.

Sarah lacks maturity to pull of the sultriness of Elie Saab gown esp. with that girly ponytail.
Would LOVE Sarah’s dress but for the unfortunate slit. It is SUCH a gorgeous color and I love the style! Andie is boring in comparison, although she looks chic (pumps not withstanding). Sarah’s shoe is WAY too small. I prefer her updo. Wish they had stood farther apart!
Andie’s daughter Sarah is a 17 year old model who has worked with Donatella Versace and Karl Lagerfeld. Showbiz kids grow up faster than normal don’t they?
