Sarah Gadon and Emily Hampshire both attended the premiere of their latest movie, ‘Cosmopolis,’ during Cannes Film Festival this evening.
Sarah wore a Jason Wu pre-Fall 2012 dress in a midi strapless style with a black waistband.
Simple Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels completed her look.
Emily’s look was much improved from the photocall.
She’s gone from an extra in ‘Mad Men,’ to something more modern, wearing a sleek black streamline Stella McCartney dress with a draped back.
Silver jewels, a sweeping bun and a coral lip colour completed her look.

A tad bit meh . . . . would have expected something better for the premiere . . . . .
I think she should have kept the stunning runway version of the dress. the Cannes film festival is the perfect place to wear fabulous gowns !

Exactly!
And it would cover up those blah shoes too!

I agree. The lookbook version is far more superior.

ITA. If only. The fabric is so beautiful.
ITA. She turned a stunning gown into a boring cocktail dress.
Sarah’s look is just blah. Emily’s look is classy and polished but a bit too maturing.
I agree.
The presented version would’ve been an amazing choice, but the version she wore is just boring for a film premiere at Cannes.
I was hoping from more out of Sarah. She looked stunning when she wore Jason Wu at TIFF last year. This look is nice, but not for Cannes.
I don’t think that’s enough for a Cannes premiere.
The gown is brilliant. The modified version – not so much. Waste of nice fabric. Meh.
Although the neckline was too low for my taste on the original gown, I would have preferred her to keep the gloriously full skirt. The modified dress is meh, despite the beautiful fabric. Her styling is pretty dull as well.
Emily’s boring black dress is no better, though I love the earrings.
It’s a premiere, girls, step it up!
Who looks at a stunning gown and thinks “Great! Now give me the high school prom version.”?
