Nicole Kidman makes her second photocall appearance during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival this afternoon.
Yesterday she attended the ‘Paperboy’ photocall, today it’s for ‘Hemingway & Gellhorn’ with yet another hunky co-star, Clive Owen.
Opting to wear her maroon Manolo Blahnik kitten heels again, the Australian actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2012 Couture dress.
Her chic black-and-white checkered belted dress which sits off the shoulder is yet another elegant look which suits her effortless, classic style.
Once again she opted to pin back some pieces of her hair and leave the rest wavy.
I’m hoping for a magic BODTY moment from Nicole this evening.

Simple, elegant and beautiful.
The top part is very ill fitting, the sleeves especially. Not liking this look because of that.
Love her. Love the dress. Hate the hair
perfect dress for her!
I’m not crazy about this. The bunching of the sleeves is bothering me and I hate her hair.
BDOTY? Great expectations FC! Lets hope so
What does BODTY stand for? (O__o)
Best dressed of the year
Very nice!
The colors are not as flattering to her as her other Cannes looks, but I still like this look very much.
I don’t think the bodice is ill-fitting at all. I assume it is supposed to drape loosely. Likewise I don’t think the bunching of the sleeves is a big problem. This garment is not supposed to be closely fitted. That’s what gives it its casual resort (yet still urban, sophisticated) feel.
Well, that’s how I see it, anyway!
Oh dear.
My husband just peeked over my shoulder and asked, “Who’s wearing the tablecloth?”
He’s hopeless. *sigh*
Tell him today it’s Nicole–yesterday it was Will Smith. :>
Love her hair – my issue with this (good) look is that it’s too wintery for Cannes
The sleeves are slightly bunched but it’s still a lovely look–I wasn’t excited about her Lanvin gown but her day looks have been AMAZING! This is another hit. Hopefully she BRINGS it tonight! C’mon, Nicole, you still have it in you!
If you compare with the model, Kidman has pulled the shoulders too far down, altering the look of the neckline – not in a good way.
Same as with Nina in ESaab gown – either she pulled the shoulders a bit too far down or the dress is simply too wide along the neckline for her and slipping off the shoulders. Either way, it ruins the look of the neckline to a certain degree and makes the entire top half of the dress appear droopy.
i love nicole but this hairstyle needs to never see the light of day again! it ages her so much
Teeeerible hair!!
+1
Don’t forget this lady is 44! Not 30!
Her hair should’ve been done ala Brigitte Bardot (she did it once at Cannes, if I’m not wrong). This sort of hairdo doesn’t suit those with hairlines like Nicole’s. Nevertheless, she’s really getting back to her old fashionable self again. New stylist?
Liked the tangerine one better.
Too lady who lunch.
I find this a bit too aging and not really appropriate for spring on the French riviera.
