Whilst everyone at the ‘Cosmopolis’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere was wearing a gown, Liya Kebebe went left.
The model/actress wore a custom Proenza Schouler dress inspired by the Fall 2012 collection.
Her peacock embroidered silk halter dress with a black mesh hemline was accented with a thin belt.
I love her accessories, especially those open toe booties. She also carried a black Louis Vuitton clutch.
Only a model, sorry, supermodel can work this look on a Cannes red carpet amongst a sea of gowns and own it.
A rouge lip colour provided the finishing touches to her downtown chic meet the French Riviera look.

Wow, surprisingly, I quite like this. It’s a little too mini for my taste but the design is very cool. She wears it very well and confidently.
The sexy booties work perfectly with the dress, great legs.
It’s a cool dress but a tad too casual for a Cannes premiere.

I love this. MUST find similar booties. The apron-ish halter reminds me of Fool’s Met Ball dress. Also I believe her name is Kebede not Kebebe just fyi.
Standout! Beautiful. Unique. Confident. My eyes went straight to her when I opened the blog and saw the best dressed poll. I didn’t even recognize who she was, which made me all the more curious about “this news girl.” Then as I scrolled down and read Liya’s name, I went “oh, no wonder.”
