Yesterday when Nicole Kidman arrived in Cannes prior to her photocall this morning, she joined her co-stars from ‘The Paperboy’ for a guest appearance on ‘Le Grand Journal’ for Canal + at La Croisette.
The Australian actress wore a look by her favourite designer, L’Wren Scott.
Her beautiful cream lace dress with burgundy velvet trims was accented with a matching velvet belt.
On the runway the model wore red heels, but Nicole opted for far more complementary cream-and-burgundy open-toe sandals which are also by L’Wren Scott.
She wore her hair in a part-pinned, part wavy hairstyle as she sported earlier today and completed her look with bracelets on both wrists and silver hooped earrings.
This is two great looks for Nicole. My fingers are crossed for the hat-trick tonight.

Whilst I love the dress and the dress on Nicole (for once I am not hating the Scott/Kidman Connection) I wish she wore red satin pumps.
That would’ve been perfect, as her shoes make the look frumpy. I love the vintage vibe of the whole look. Gonna try it at home!
agree with your shoe choice
love this look on Nic nevertheless
+1
This is quite beautiful – I love the colour of the velvet.
I hope by the time these dresses get to the stores, they are fully lined. It doesn’t seem right that designers expect civilians to to hand over thousands of dollars for a dress, only to then have to find the perfect slip to wear underneath.
Looks like the runway belt is also red satin–it is way to shiny to be velvet. I think this looks great–classy and sophisticated.
Has Nicole always been this, er, well-endowed? She looks great.
Exactly the first thing I thought.
me too,never bef noticed that?!
Maybe she has been hanging out with Cameron Diaz.
Love the vintage looks she’s sporting. I’m also hoping for a hat trick tonight.
Not sure if I like the shoes with the dress. Other than that she looks pretty.
I really like this dress.
I can’t believe how well those shoes pair with the dress. lol comment above me thinks the opposite.
Well, I’m on your side. I think the shoes are absolutely PERFECT!
She should have worn a slip because light makes the skirt see-through. However, this is SUCH a great look–BDOTD worthy and SO chic. So glad that she wore the sandals-they go perfectly. Her hairstyle goes well with the look too. I really want this dress! Nicole is on a roll! Can’t wait for tonight
I like it, she’s very chic. I prefer her Berardi look though.
It’s very pretty but I still don’t like velvet in the summer.
I like this look, very lovely. As for the shoes, while they are perfectly complementary I think a solid (burgundy)colour shoe would’ve worked better against the dress with all those burgundy trims -all these glimpses of burgundy here and there are a bit all over the place.
say is aint so, nicole is wearing actual high heels (at least it looks like that in the picture) and not kitten heels! there is a god.
she looks lovely in this dress, love the shoes.
