Jessie J pulled an Angelina on the red carpet at amfAR’s Cinema Against Aids Gala during Cannes Film Festival on this evening.
The British singer made good use of the split in her Louis Heal Fall 2012 gown.
Jessie truly showed off the British designer’s cranberry leopard print risqué, creation which also has an asymmetrical slashed neckline.
In typical pop star fashion, Jessie opted for an edgy pair of black ankle booties, rather than the preferred strappy sandals.
A flapper-esque bob, a gold Lulu Guinness clutch and ruby lippie completed the wild look.
Sans boots I love this look. It’s so true to Jessie.

Tacky from the print to the cut-outs and split and the booties, looks really bad to me.
I totally agree. Horrible.
+2 Entirely trashy. One of the worst looks so far–if not THE worst.
Never a fan of leopard prints but this look is ok from the ankles up.
I love the gown and the gown on Jessie but the boots RUIN it. This isn’t a usual booties crime. This is the amfAR’s Cinema Against Aids Gala during Cannes Film Festival, in which CLASS is expected.
The booties make the look trashy. If she opted her simple Jimmy Choo gold strappy sandals her look would’ve been CLASSY.
Yes. You nailed it. +1
+2. The boots are hideous and ruin a good look.
I oved it until I scrolled down. I am really not a Jessie J fan, especially her style, and I did love this look.
However, the boots, which are even clunkier than your regular ankle boots, ruin it. And then on getty on the closer images she appears to have some sort of gold tape on her chest, which is just awful.
She looks so in control of this dress. super super look.
Does anyone else get a Balmain vibe by this look?
To say my opinion, I actually like this look. The boots may not have been the best choice of footwear, but I like the edgy nature of this outfit.
While I do think she is rocking the dress and the split, I find slipts that high – allowing people to have a peek at your butt, tacky.
“Sans boots I love this look”.
Ditto.
An I’m not even a fan of animal prints, usually.
tacky doesnt even describe this car crash of an “outfit” shame from the neck up its pretty decent.
Rocker chic. Love, ankle boots and all.
At first I hated it, then I realized it’s Jessie J, then I allowed myself to appreciate it while hating it. I believe musicians are supposed to look a little over the top and out there; so check and check.
+1 agree with you Dhppy, and she looks wow
I actually love it.
Only on Jessie J.
oh jessie this is so confusing! I mean red, leopard, thigh-high split all put together normally equal to disaster. But somehow it looked okay on Jessie until I saw the boots. They ruined the whole thing: it’s like a direct ticket to TrashyCity
the thigh split is really high — maybe three to five inches less thigh split would have been more my speed (i can’t help but think the world’s seen her jessie in this dress), but i totally love everything about it, even the hated booties, mostly because they seem so true to jessie’s style
God damn those boots!
My initial impression was WOW! for THE FIRST TIME the model was upstaged big time. Usually, the ‘celebrity’ just barely pulls off the look.. and this look was a big one to pull off. all i can say about those boots, “these boots are made for walkin’.. and that’s just what they’ll do..”
Not sure why but today I seem to be liking the trashier looks which is not normal for me. Anyway, I do actually like this and the colour is fab. I am undecided on the boots though. On anyone else I would probably hate it.
This would’ve been one of my favourite looks but I really hate the boots… I know she likes to be edgy and stuff but the boots kill the look for me… :/
Even with the boots, this is her best look ever.
This dress is my worst fashion nightmare coming to life! It’s not enough that is red/cranberry with leopard prints, but it’s also made of velvet and has a huge split. I cant even…. +_+
