Janet Jackson joined a number of celebrities in Cap D’Antibes, France this evening for amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala 2012.
The legendary singer flashed some skin in a white Emilio Pucci halter dress with a deep keyhole detail with a beaded neckline and major a central split.
While the look may be on the revealing side, I do love the simplicity of the stark white gown. My only complaint is that for a custom gown the top half is looking a tad lumpy.
Metallic t-strap heels and a Pomellato ‘Tango’ 18K rose gold white diamond bracelet simply accessorized the look.
A teased hairdo and smoky eyes helped to show off that gorgeous smile.

This is a hot mess. The gown does nothing for her and I feel like I’ve seen this look before on Janet and on many stars.
She is already the worst dressed with Jessie J’s booties monstrosity.
Also, her hair is awful.

“A tad lumpy”? It looks like she’s smuggling in snacks into a movie theatre because she doesn’t want to pay the sky high prices.

Unflattering, overly revealing…although the bright white is striking, nothing about this look is memorable or pleasing to me.
When a dress has been made to measure, it shoudl look like it. The makeup is also tragic.
Her shoes are not strictly heels, they are, I think, the Giuseppe Zanotti platform no heel sandals.

All you alleged fashionistas, STOP. This is a bad shot of the dress because the pictures I seen with her speaking at the event, the girl looks amazing. This is one of these dresses that you either get a good shot head on or not. I agree that is looks a bit unflattering from the front but honey, the back shot and the side angel, Janet looks FLAWLESS. Remember a few things, first Janet hasn’t been on a red carpet in awhile or atleast since her extremely inspiring weigh loss. Secondly, the woman is a woman of a certain age and still puts some of these young gals to shame in the biz. This isn’t a misstep by any means by the lovely Ms. Janet but she is showing you that there is more to come. Don’t trip about her clevage either because she is one of the stars that always put her girls on display. She hit a mark but unfortunately this picture isn’t doing her or the dress any justice but poetically and one of the famous “back shots”, she is killing it. Maybe when she first got the dress, she wasn’t as small as she is now. Someone mentioned her hair looked bad, well honey that person doesn’t no how fierce Ms. Janet is when it comes down to hair. She isn’t just a trendsetter but she is way beyond her time with hair. For example, her video for “Rockwitu”, her wig is dye, fried and laid to side but SUPER FIERCE. It’s easy to hate on Janet but no one can deny just how incredible she is. She looks like she is getting younger and this is the Janet everyone better watch out for. Her swagger is undeniable one of the best in the business of show and has been for years. Janet is one of the best to ever do it and still doing it.
This is NOT a flattering dress. To blame the photography is lame
No one is disrespecting Janet, she’s a pop icon but that doesn’t excuse an ill fitting dress.
What is it with the white under-eye makeup? Classic Longoria! With such skilled makeup-artists at hand, why do these women insist on wearing concealer five shades too light? Makes her look like The Joker. And yes, the dress is seriously ill-fitting.
