Heidi Klum looked breathtaking as she took to the red carpet tonight for ‘The Paperboy’ Cannes Film Festival premiere.
She dazzled photographers and the waiting crowd wearing a Marchesa Spring 2012 gown.
Her fully-beaded, fringed gown had some of the fringe detailing draped over the shoulders.
This gives you more room to see the gown, unlike how is was presented on the model with the fringe work swishing down the runway.
Heidi opted for silver jewels to complement her gown plus a simple updo to complete her look.
Runway or red carpet? Which look do you prefer?
Red carpet wins for me.

WOOOAAAH!
Red carpet version, for sure. The model on the runway is too ugly for this dress. There, I said it.
Heidi’s styling & figure really match this amazing dress..
beautiful! red carpet!
Red carpet look ! She looks stunning even without a clutch …
I totally prefer the red carpet version. She looks really great!
Red carpet. Unlike her previous look, she looks flawless here.
+1
While I prefer how the beauty of the gown was showcased better on the red carpet without the excessive fringe detailing, I’m not loving the silhouette on Heidi – a bit too wide through the midsection, would like to see a more defined smaller waist-bigger bust shape.
finally a Marchesa I whole heartedly love. WAY better on Heidi. she looks great.
I definitely like it on the red carpet. Heidi does full justice to this gown.
The first thing I said when I saw this look was: hell to the no. I still think that.
This is a no for me – maybe for J Lo but not for Heidi
Runway, definitely more special. Nice on Ms Klum, but nothing out of the ordinary.
At first I hate the way Heidi styled it but it grew on me. I like both the runway and the red carpet. I don’t like her hair, as it looks fringy; no fringy hair with a fringy gown.
I prefer the red carpet version, but I think there is too much blog going on… so she gets just a pass form me.
Definitely Heidi. Very pretty look. Great understated makeup
The dress is very 30s Hollywood. Normally, I dont get too into hair, but her ‘do is killing the glamour in this. I’ve only seen this photo, so maybe it’s different from other angles, but from the front it looks like she’s pulled it back to do some housekeeping.
Her hair is blah. The dress makes me uncertain–on one hand, I like how the fringe was moved, but on the other, the whole silhouette doesn’t flatter her very much at all. It makes her look boxy.
Red carpet hands down.
I don’t love the look. However it’s still better than the runway version (too much fringe)
Red Carpet.
Even on Karolina Kurkova, the plethora of fringes negated any shape on the runway version. Beautiful dress, though, and impactful.
Heidi looks gorgeous here.
I really dislike the hair…can’t even look at the dress when i see that hair
Wow what is this dress made of? So beautiful and Heidi’s modifications are perfect.
I didn’t like this on the runway but I LOVE this gown on Heidi she looks stunning!

DYING.
It’s Friday evening here in London. After a long week I’m just going to take it easy and won’t be posting anything else today unless Nicole Kidman hits the red carpet this evening.
