Michelle Monaghan joined Nicole Richie and Jessica Stam at the 40th annual FiFi Awards at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday evening.
The beautiful actress wore a vintage Haltson gown.
Her navy gown has an open back with cuts to the front to show off her slender waist.
I love the simple styling which includes a few gold bangles, stud earrings and an elegant bun.

I don’t know, this just looks completely terrible to me. Utterly lifeless.
I don’t like it. It’s way too beachy for an award ceremony. Besides, it doesn’t do any favours to her chest area, imo.

Glad I am not the only one that thought this looks like a swim suit. I don’t like this look at all, there are so many beautiful Halston pieces that she could have chosen.
Too bare, imo
This makes her look very boxy for a frock that is clearly supposed to cut a sinuous line. This look has about as much personality as tepid dishwater, and the styling, or lack thereof, certainly doesn’t help – she is not selling this to me.
I don’t like this at all.
I love the simple styling as well, the elegant bun and the makeup, gold works so well with navy but there is too much bare skin going on here with the cutouts and open chest (that doesn’t work with her tiny unsupported bust), it does remind me of my navy swim suit.

I agree that this look is a little too bare. However, I think she might have made it work with a statement necklace or flowing hair.

Michelle is a naturally endowed woman, but I always feel that something’s missing from her red carpet looks. Again here, this is a great dress – simple and sexy, but it looked kinda boring. I don’t believe she’s a stylish person in life. Besides, she really needs a new hair color – a chestnut shade or auburn highlights.

Not a fan of this at all.
I want to like it, but I think I can’t. The dress is rather shapeless, plus it’s not really flattering in the bust area. I also think this look is way too minimalist – she should have added some jewellery and a clutch.
