Jena Malone attended the Hollywood Reporter and the History Channel screening of ‘Hatsfields & McCoys’ held in Hollywood on Monday.
The actress was stunning in a black Cushnie et Ochs Pre-Fall 2012 dress with leather trim along the hemline and waist.
Jena has remained loyal to the young brand on the red carpet on many occasions now, and this may be one of my favourite celebrity-designer matchups.
The edgy-meets-classic designs are a perfect fit for Jena’s child-actress-turned-indie-film-star status.
Strappy Brian Atwood ‘Kir’ heels, side-swept hair and a red lippie complete the look.

I would’ve loved this look if she had worn the belt. The belt is missing badly.
Exactly what I was thinking…it was so perfect on the model….do not like it on her.
I agree.
Yes, she needed the belt! Then it would have been a great look. Too plain without.
Don’t love the shoes.
I wish she had kept the belt.
Posture is bad and I wish she wore the belt.
She looks nice.
I love the dress but, like others here, I wonder why she left off the belt.
Even without the belt, I kind of love this. The shoes really heighten the look.
I love the look on the model but Jena isn’t selling it to me. I hate to say it, but there doesn’t seem to be anything super special about it; just another LBD, which shouldn’t be said about a Cushnie et Ochs dress.
The look with the belt isn’t Jenna’s style. The runway look is more elegant and chic. Jenna’s style isn’t elegant and chic, so the way she interpreted the look is perfect.
I LOVE the yellow pop of color and the hair her hair is to the side.
SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t mind the absence of the belt – the dress is well fitted at the waist and the busy shoes totally make up for it. However, Jenna is lacking in the poise/presence department significantly, it makes it impossible for her to really sell any of her looks. She makes everything look drab with that posture and facial expression.
I don’t like the shoes or the length of the dress on Jena. Her hair could use some volume. The super sleek look makes her forehead bigger.
