Élodie Bouchez brought the drama to the red carpet for the ‘On the Road’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening.
The French actress smoldered wearing a Chanel Fall 2011 Couture gown.
Her ivory fully-beaded short sleeve gown had a mermaid hem with black tulle inserts.
Sweeping locks to one side showcased her diamond drop earrings.
Bright red lips, a baby blue nail colour, a silver bracelet and silver sandals perfected her effortless, chic look.

Looks like the first Chanel sighting on the Cannes red carpet this year. Another designer that I think should make more couture red carpet gowns.
Loving the drama but the hair should’ve been pulled back into a slick ‘do – her sweeping locks aren’t working with the sructured shoulders/sleeves of the gown.
*structured
I agree, I was thinking the same thing. Her hair should have been pulled back.
The proportions looks odd here. I think the train needs to start lower on the dress or take away the jacket.
I agree about the train.
she looks like a linebacker dragged in the mud
I wasn’t crazy about the gown and the fit on the runway, but on Elodie it is better and more chic.
She wore it well.
Yes totally agree on that
She looks great, maybe it’s the best look from her.
Bad on the runway, worse on her.
It’s growing on me–agree the hair should be up
She is the one who shut the house down at this premiere.
Not really crazy about the gown but she is working it.
I don’t much like the dress, especially the broad shoulders, but she’s selling me on it …. somewhat.
Sort of an updated version of Alexis Carrington from Dynasty. From the big hard shoulders, to the sausage casing fit, to the flare of the skirt which doesn’t emanate organically from the dress, I detest this thing.
FINALLY, a Chanel dress I like! I love the drama of this gown.
Absolutely dislike this dress. Chanel can do so much better. The detached shoulder and those tulles looks really odd. This is the first time I really really really dislike a Chanel look.
I don’t get fascination with Chanel. This dress is so uninspiring and awkward that it’s hard to believe people lust after their designs. Or just the logo?
Completely +1…why is this “chic” or desirable?
I’d have never thought to say that about couture, but the dress looks really cheap… especially the tulle part of the dress is just akward. I don’t like it at all.
To be honest, I struggle to like anything by Chanel since its couture collection back in spring 2009. For me, it loses its charm with every collection. So sad.
I think this looks like a poor version of the dress Cheryl Cole wore the other day…
I don’t like it. Something feels off.
