Jessica Stam joined Nicole Richie on the red carpet in New York City last night for the 40th annual FiFi Awards at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
The model, who I recognised on this occasion, wore a beautiful Marchesa dress.
Her ivory dress with cap sleeves, a draped detail at the waist and stunning sequin embellishment along the bust line is yet another glamorous piece for the Stam.
She styled her look with a snakeskin clutch and black Roger Vivier ‘Cecil’ T-bar sandals.
Normally I would be opposed to black sandals with a nice white dress. Silver sandals would’ve been preferred, especially with that neckline, but there’s something about Jessica’s edgy persona which makes them work.

At first glance I thought this was Mila Kunis.
she does look pretty great here, will miss the reddish blonde hair she had though.
Would have very much preferred a sparkly sandal, but the rest of her is SOOOOOOO beautiful (LOVE the dress, BDOTW worthy imo!) that I can overlook the heels.
I would have loved to see this dress on someone with more curves, but Jessica does look beautiful.
This dress reminds me of a budget Vivienne Westwood. The draping is somehow skimpy, it doesn’t have the great integrated support of a Vivienne Westwood dress, and the fabric lacks body and shows Jessica’s bones and bumps.
I like the clutch . . .
I love Marchesa when they do a dress like this.
I think her hairstyle didn’t work here.
It’s a bit disconcerting to see her rib-cage, but otherwise I like the overall look.
Oddly, I even like the shoes. I would never have thought to pair this dress with black sandals, but I think it works.
The dress is very nice, simple but stylelish.I think the black shoes match with her black hair.
oh that’s flawless on her.
The cut is a bit Vivienne Westwood, and I agree it would have suited someone curvier. I’m also really put off by her visible ribcage. Honestly Jessica is beautiful but I do not want to see a visible ribcage through a dress.
Love the dress.
That hair though is another story. Terrible dye job.
The dress is very beautiful, and the thing that really “bother” me is the blonde roots, it seems that she has a wide part.
It is a gorgeous dress–looks really good on her. My only complaint is the clutch is a tad oversized.
She looks beautiful. I’m getting used to the dark hair actually.
With the new hair color, she looks like Leigh Lezark… http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/leigh-lezark-attends-the-sonia-rykiel-ready-to-wear-fall-news-photo/140610076
Is she trying to copy her? Just sayin…..
I don’t think so.
Oh, yay! FC, you call her “The Stam” too? It’s how I always refer to her. There can be only one.
I really like Stam red carpet style, it’s always classy but still stylish. And this look is no exception. I do miss her blonde hair though
While I don’t like the black shoes with this outfit, the rest is perfect!
