Anna Kendrick joined her co-star Cameron Diaz on the red carpet for the London premiere of her new film, ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting,’ held at the BFI IMAX today.
At first glance I was almost positive that this was the same outfit we saw at the LA premiere last week.
Embellished nude cocktail dress is Anna’s go-to look like Jennifer Aniston and her LBDs.
On this occasion, Anna chose an embellished tulle Christian Dior Spring 2011 dress.
The sheer fabric, with gold sequins detailed along the waistband and capulet neckline, is modified from the runway to provide a bit more coverage.
A gold Mulberry clutch and Christian Louboutin ‘Duvette’ pumps gold toe-cap heels match the sequin details.
With a side-bun and smoky eyes, Anna looked gorgeous.

Stunning! I love this look from head-to-toe.
She is the best dressed at this event IMO.
completely washed out in that dress…….mehhhh and boring
I completely agree with you, she looks like a ghost. Meh.

It’s just the same thing over and over…can hardly tell the difference. This is a bit too childish- birthday party- baby ballerina for me, could’ve opted for sexy gold sandals at least.
+100.
I love Anna, and as pretty as she looks, she desperately needs to start adding a little more color into her selections.

Very feminine and pretty, but I wish it wasn’t nude. In a light watermelon pink or soft aqua it would be lovely. Glad that she lined it–wish that the embellished detail sat the same way as it did on the runway. The shoes and clutch were a good choice
I think the modification to the skirt kills the dress, destroys the flow, makes it too bottom-heavy, too puffy, cutesy. I don’t know.
She looks very pretty, but ….
There are some things I’ll never understand, like why some celebs never smile on the red carpet, why others always choose boring shoes between the thousands available…and why a pretty girl with such a delicate and pale skintone would wear nude basically all the time.
The last time she got a pass, just because the Elie Saab dress was beautiful and artfully made, but here I don’t even like the dress per se, hence this look is definitely a no for me.
Uurrr, are you all mad?! This is dull, unflattering and uninspired. It’s the wrong dress for her body shape, hides all the best bits and washes her out.
I passed over the dress on the runway as I prefer runway looks to be Red Carpet Ready.
Anna’s modified look proves my loathe of runway looks that aren’t wearable straight off the runway, as she looks amazing.
I don’t get why runway looks often aren’t lined because the women who would buy the look 95% will line it.
Anna’s looks tend to be de ja vu because her style is girly girl. So if she wears similar looks, it is what it is. Personally, I don’t see a problem with sticking to your personal style.
blah! thats all i can say about this.
I don’t know why but I never like how this actress is dressed and, IMO, she hasn’t got so much charme.
Another boring same style look.
I think it works for Anna, because she has such a young demeanor. But I don’t think it would work for anyone older.
Nooooo – don’t like this on Anna at all. She is so hit and miss on the red carpet… and most often misses!!
Pshhh…please.
Ill fitting top + cold, washed out colour = hot mess.
Try some colour next time Anna. Her makeup is pretty at least.
It looks a lot more beautiful and much more inspiring on the runway, maybe its the way it’s lined and the fact that it washes her out. Other than that, she looks pretty.
Anna insists on wearing one and the same color to every single event
deja vu !!!!
Ditto.
I HATE this look for Anna. She’s young and this looks like a something better suited for grandmother during the 1920s. The color is awful on her, she’s completely washed out. It is a snooze, she needs to hire whoever dresses her Twilight co-star Ashley Greene.
At first I wasn’t sure about the dress with the capulet but it is growing on me. I think she looks lovely. I would love to see her branch out to other styles.
