Paz Vega In Stéphane Rolland Couture – ‘Madagascar 3′ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega was also present on the red carpet for the ‘Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival at the Palais des Festivals this evening.

She stunned the crowd wearing a breathtaking Stéphane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown.

I was hoping we would get to see at least one gown from the amazing designer, and Paz more than does this gown justice.

The black and white gown with a keyhole bodice and skirt with a dramatic feathered train was accented with a gold waistband.

Paz swept her hair up into a loose bun and completed her look with a rich red lip colour.

This is beyond outstanding!! I love it, I think this is in my BDOTY list.

      +1, she looks gorgeous.

  2. Alina May 18, 2012 at 19:18 #

    Ravishing!

  3. Riley May 18, 2012 at 19:19 #

Wow I didn’t recognize her. She always gives us Spanish Va Va Boom but in a chic sophisticated way which is why I love her as opposed to Sofia Vergara who just does Va Va Boom.

  4. Lola May 18, 2012 at 19:20 #

Amazingly beautiful gown. She looks divine. Elegant, chic and classy.

  5. robbie May 18, 2012 at 19:21 #

my eyes were drawns to those wigs, WTF!

    she looks divine.

    • admmgz May 19, 2012 at 02:13 #

lol the wigs are promo material for Madagascar 3

  6. SilentVisitor May 18, 2012 at 19:21 #

    Outstanding……….Amazing……WOW

  7. Amy May 18, 2012 at 19:23 #

I love Stephane Rolland. The cutout at the hips are unnecessary but she looks great

  8. Rashmi May 18, 2012 at 19:24 #

Love!! This is my fav so far today..
FC.. i so wish she had however picked up the gown on your wishlist.. the pop of red in that gown is amazing!

  9. SH May 18, 2012 at 19:24 #

    BEAUTIFUL!

  10. Yeliz May 18, 2012 at 19:26 #

Although it’s not the gown which has caused my fainting a couple of days ago, it’s at least something from Stephane Rolland!

Paz Vega wore Rolland at the Oscars night and I was totally in love with that look and tonight I’m in love again. She looks breathtaking. One of my favorites without doubt.

Lol @ the colored wigs behind her.

  11. sahil May 18, 2012 at 19:26 #

till date in this festival for me this is the best look…
this is breath takin and simply WOW appearence by Paz Vega ..
Head 2 Toe a perfect look

  12. Nat39 May 18, 2012 at 19:27 #

It’s a tricky gown but I agree she’s pulling it off very well (although not a fan of the inevitable saggy bust due to the keyhole detail).

  13. Fer May 18, 2012 at 19:29 #

wow, what an amazing body, gorgeous face and gorgeous dress. I really have a big respect for Paz Vega in the red carpet, she has, amazing, amazing style. She always wows me with her poise and elegance, looks so effortless everything on her, i am amazed.

  14. Sabin May 18, 2012 at 19:30 #

She is so stunning! She also wore that gorgeous long-sleeved nude stephane rolland with the detail on the skirt not too long ago…she totally does this collection justice. To me, this reigns over all the typical sparkly elie saab dresses as it’s much more fresh and modern.

  15. A. May 18, 2012 at 19:32 #

Best gown of the day. She looks unreal. All I can say is WOW. Love Stephane Rolland Couture

  16. Dhppy May 18, 2012 at 19:33 #

Gasp moment! Love it! Perhaps the thin gold belt isn’t needed (for a second I thought it was more of her flesh poking through), but still, wondrous!

  17. admmgz May 18, 2012 at 19:37 #

    Love it! She looks beautiful

  18. Ioana May 18, 2012 at 19:41 #

Unlike Salma Hayek (a little bit “overrated”, in my humble opinion!), PAZ VEGA managed to get a “WOW” from me wearing this amazing gown…
The dress speaks for itself. No need for too much “sparkle-sparkle”, no need for unnecessary details, just a sexy Spanish woman and a beautiful, sophisticated dress.

    • nina May 18, 2012 at 20:04 #

      Agree; Paz looks so beautiful.

  19. Peter May 18, 2012 at 19:42 #

She is beautiful and looks great but what is she doing there? Did she work in that movie? I get angry when a Z-list actress get the best dresses and try to overshadow everybody

  20. gabis May 18, 2012 at 19:51 #

Huge W-O-W. She looks like a goddess. I’m completely crazy about this look and I normally don’t even like feathered trains, but this dress, styling, everything about it is just making me swoon. This is definitely on my BDOTY list. Truly, truly LOVE it.
With dresses like that who in their right mind can say that Cannes this year is “slow”? Seriously, it has barely reached the third day and it has already beaten all Hollywood Red Carpet Season and the MET Gala.

  21. Francois B May 18, 2012 at 19:58 #

Catherine! MY JAW DROPPED when I saw this dress! I was absolutely sure you would love it :D She does justice to this look as you say! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G A little bit of Sexy, Dramatic & Chic = SDC. I think it’s the best Paz has looked so far! Love love love

  22. Hannah May 18, 2012 at 20:01 #

So far, this is THE Cannes moment for me. I think that this will be remembered by hte end of the year, except Cannes has been amazing so far, so time will only tell.

  23. EmmaWoodhouse May 18, 2012 at 20:08 #

I find the cut-outs to be unflattering and tacky, particularly the keyhole (which makes the bodice sag). If it were not for them I would think this was a cool, standout gown.
Her hair looks rather mumsy, unfortunately.
The whole thing wasn’t a wow moment for me.

    • Marybeth May 18, 2012 at 21:08 #

I completely agree with you about the keyhole. I think the dress would have been better without it.
There’s far too much going on with this dress to suit me.
(But I see we are definitely in a minority here!)

    • Dhppy May 19, 2012 at 00:18 #

I think the cut outs are crucial. The key hole is so different that it gives an architectural spin on cleavage. That’s hard to do. This is kind of genius.

    • bee7 May 19, 2012 at 14:26 #

the keyhole i can understand, it adds to the drama but i can’t get past the cut-outs near her hips. i find them unnecessary and distracting.

  24. Médée May 18, 2012 at 20:10 #

I feel like Cannes will provide you with all the BDOTY contestants.

  25. Gustavo Velasco May 18, 2012 at 20:11 #

FC, You know the reason of the photographer´s clown wigs?? BTW, i love this dress in Paz´s Womanly figure!!!!

  26. Jones19 May 18, 2012 at 20:12 #

OH MY GOSH! How on earth can we vote on the best look today??? How??

  27. NooG May 18, 2012 at 20:26 #

    Now THAT’s a dress. Whew.

  28. Petra May 18, 2012 at 20:31 #

    This gown is PURE PERFECTION!

  29. justme May 18, 2012 at 20:46 #

I’m a big fan of Paz’s style. She looks beyond stunning.

  30. noo May 18, 2012 at 21:00 #

    goosebumps!!!

  31. Grace Patricia May 18, 2012 at 21:04 #

She looks beautiful. It’s a feathered trained gown in a modern way. For me, it’s also the right way of wearing a train, it should not be bigger than yourself.

  32. Zineb May 18, 2012 at 21:40 #

BDOTY worthy! Really! This is my favorite look so far in Cannes! WOW! A Stephane Rolland Couture gown always gives quite a fashion moment.

  33. Christine May 18, 2012 at 21:49 #

Hands down, stunning! BDOTW. Wow, just wow :D

  34. Miss Jeanett May 18, 2012 at 22:03 #

OMG… she looks outstanding!! One of my favorites so far!

  35. Shaina May 18, 2012 at 22:05 #

Amazing! One of my favorite looks! She does this gown so much justice, I don’t think anyone else could wear it like she does.

  36. Ilana May 18, 2012 at 22:35 #

Yes yes yes a Stéphane Rolland!!! Love it

  37. oksana May 18, 2012 at 23:14 #

    GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  38. Annel May 18, 2012 at 23:40 #

This is how to present a gown with a long train – contrary to Eva Longoria who didn’t quite manage to pull it off.

  39. Mol May 18, 2012 at 23:54 #

If I imagine a plain background (vs all those busy and ridic clown wigs), then I am stunned, she has the stature to carry this complicated gown off and does so beautifully.

  40. Ramsay May 19, 2012 at 01:33 #

    Feathered train overdose anyone?

  41. Beta May 19, 2012 at 02:02 #

    L.O.V.E.

  42. pipsqueak May 19, 2012 at 03:25 #

Paz has come so far from her days in Spanglish. She’s a good actress with great comedic timing. I hope she finds more success in Hollywood, now that she’s even more beautiful.

  43. taksi May 19, 2012 at 04:46 #

Sigh, I wish I had her body.

  44. mandy May 19, 2012 at 06:00 #

Imagine the fierceness had she worn the runway gloves. Gosh I love Paz. She is my red carpet girl crush. She can do no wrong and she is unpredictable.

  45. Wong Hiao Hiao May 19, 2012 at 08:14 #

    BDOTY!

  46. Jess2 May 19, 2012 at 12:59 #

To start with I wasn’t fussed about this look but after coming back and really paying attention I have completely changed my mind. This look is perfect from head to toe! She is so statuesque in this gown and THIS is how you do a dramatic train.

  47. Raquel May 19, 2012 at 16:39 #

LOVE!! Best dressed at Cannes, IMO.

  48. Richard May 19, 2012 at 20:50 #

Paz Vega is the most beautiful spanish actress, I love Paz.

  49. Mia Spring May 20, 2012 at 09:33 #

Bravo! I can barely find a word!
