Fan Bingbing had a busy night, as she also attended the L’Oreal Paris 15th Anniversary dinner, held at Plage Orange during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
On this occasion she wore a Valentino Spring 2012 Couture gown.
Her floral chiffon dress is so heavenly with the pretty floral print and bow accent.
Some of you say she does pretty too often and free from imperfection, but I say what is wrong with that?
This look is one of my favourites from Fan. But I have a feeling I may say that again before the festival is out.
A top knot, coral lip colour and Ferragamo clutch completed her look.

Tough call, I really like both looks. Both are so beautifully executed (no too-long hem problems, yay!), that I’ll have to nitpick to decide. Ok, can’t find anything wrong, will have to decide based on whether I’m in the mood for sweetness or drama. Ok, still can’t decide. I’ll have to get back to you.
FC, can I say that I look forward to Cannes only for the pretty frocks? All thanks to you! You do an incredible job round the year, but like Fan Bing Bing and Eva Longoria, Cannes brings out something special in you as well!

i do think we’ll be saying ‘this is our favorite look’ from Fan Bing Bing many times over this festival. This is stunning and is currently my favorite look from her haha, probably because i’m partial to Valentino couture
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore the same dress at the MET gala last week. Unfortunately there are non good pictures of her because she, clever girl, did not want to be in the center of the attention

I’ve always wondered: how tall is Fan? Often (as in this case, for example) she manages to wear outifts that make her look supertall and slender.

How can I like this more than her Elie Saab gown ? She looked perfect then, so how can she possibly look even more than… perfect ? She’s surreal.
So yeah, if I had to choose, I’ll say this one is my favorite, because it’s more difficult to make such an impact in a floral gown than in a sequin one.
I never thought that I wouldn’t prefer Elie Saab but I do on this occasion. Actually it has nothing to do with her gown (which suited her perfectly), it’s just the necklace which was out of place IMO, therefore I prefer Valentino.
I say this is better than the Elie Saab, only because this look is deceptively difficult to pull off successfully (think SJP at the Met Gala), the total floral look can be overwhelming or just too twee, she makes this look elegant and ethereal, not easy for mere mortals.
This is such a hard dress to wear and she makes it look effortless. I sometimes find her a little too quirky but I do love this.
She looks pretty. I say why not wear the boldest, the biggest train, the prettiest train at Cannes?! Its Cannes
P.S She looks really tall in this dress.
Yes, I swear she’s perching on a stool under that skirt – ! I’ve thought she’s looked impossibly tall a few times now.
That said, she does look beautiful here.
I prefer this one, But i still want her to take a risk more often. And she looks gorgeous in both occasion.
She did a couple of months ago and it was HORRIBLE! I do think she is someone sweet and girl, therefore she shouldn’t try be something else.I remember that little dress she wore and washed her out and she added an awful hat with it. NO WAY, I want her look bad like she did that time
I think this is her last public work event, according to her workshop, unfortunately
I would love to see more…
She is going to be in Iron Man 3, so I think you will see her more often in the coming year.

love everything about this. this is how these floral gowns from valentino should look, everyone else that’s attempted them lately has just been put to shame.
This may be the first time I’ve enjoyed Valentino’s overtly floral, hit-you-over-the-head with femininity collection. She carries it off well.

this is the prettiest dress like, ever. they did a good job with that hem and getting the height right so that the dress doesnt swallow her up.
