Melissa George attended the ‘De Rouille et D’Os’ premiere during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival this evening.
The actress opted to wear a Calvin Klein Spring 2012 dress.
It is safe to say this is my least favourite look so far.
Not because of the sheer panel, but because it’s just plain boring.
Save this for a New York screening or another low-key event.
With Marion Cotillard, Fan Bingbing and Eva Longoria on this red carpet, Melissa really needed to up her game.

She looks a bit pregnant too… I don’t like it at all.
She could have definitely chosen something subtler for the red carpet. CK too has some elegant creations that she could have chosen from. Only saving grace about this look is her makeup, She’s a pretty lady.
+1. I really don’t know what’s up with CK lately and all those awful dresses with sheer panels on the bust area. And worst of all, why people keep choosing them over other amazing models.
I wouldn’t even liked it at a low-key event. The sheer panel is ugly.
I agree with you.
didnt like it on the model, dont like it on melissa.
No, just no.
I usually like Melissa George so this is such a letdown. This outfit does nothing for her. She looks sad and tired like she had just got off the plane.
I agree. Melissa is at her best when she is Chicly Fearless. I would love to see her in a sexy sparkling L’Wren Scott number that she would work to the seams.
Calvin Klein really does suck the life out of girls who aren’t minimalist to the core.
The brand really churns out Meh Moments.
I was about to say ‘she is so much better than this’ but then I did a search through RCFA and realised that the last time I really loved her on the red carpet was 2009 in Emanuel Ungaro, so maybe she isn’t better than this. Maybe this is it. Quick question FC, who was your fav from day 1 and then from day 2?
Day 1 Jane Fonda, Freida Pinto and Diane Kruger
Day 2 Fredia Pinto
Pinto is my Cannes Queen so far. She’s killing it.
Hate the sheer panel. Tacky and unflattering. What a blah look. Only amazing dresses should be allowed at Cannes!
She cannot be serious with this look. At Cannes? ……………………….
I like the shoes themselves but there is nothing I like about this look. There is no event that this look would be good for I’m afraid.
