Jada Pinkett Smith jumped off the ‘Men In Black 3’ tour bus to head to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival to promote her new movie, ‘Madagascar 3’.
She opted to go all out for the photocall earlier today wearing a Versace Fall 2012 dress which she paired with Ferragamo peep-toes.
You may think, ‘This is a bit much for a photocall,’ but at Cannes I always appreciate those who make an extended effort.
Jessica Chastain was event appropriate, but ‘meh’ in comparison to Jada.
Jessica teamed her black-and-white polka dot Dolce & Gabbana dress with black Jimmy Choo shoes.
I’m waiting for the day when Jessica’s red carpet appearances are more consistently good.

Love Jada here! She’s the perfect Versace girl!
Jada looks great – perfect length and fit, great confident sexy presence.
Jessica’s dress isn’t doing her any favours – she looks too thick-waisted, and it’s too childish for her.

Nah this is Cannes it’s definitely go big or go home- even at a photo call. Her legs are so shiny they look plastic though.

I agree. This is Cannes we are talking about. Poor Jessica. Her style is either hit or miss. Lately it’s a MISS.
Jada’s upper body looks bad on this dress, the fit makes her look too broad, in the shape of a box, there’s something off to me. And it does feel too much for a photocall, being well dressed is also being appropriate and this is not.

I’m not excited about either one too, but I like Jada’s effort. She looks fresh. I’m not fond of Jessica’s dress, not only because of its shape, but also because I’m a bit over this whole polkadot-print.
Jessica’s look is a little bit too country for me. It comes across as cheap.
I like Jada’s though I’m a bit puzzled with the bust construction, it looks amazing on her.

Jada can be a bit JLo like she is here. I don’t think her look was appropriate but I will take it compared to JesCha’s meh Dolce & Gabbana dress.
Is it just me or do not-runway Dolce & Gabbana dresses roll into one?
I said a couple of weeks ago that when I grow up, I want to wear Naeem Khan. Well, when I want to go out and paint the town red, I want to be wearing Versace. Jada looks great.

Don’t like either look. Jada’s dress is rather tacky to me, and Jessica’s is too young and makes her look wide. A no for both.
