Eva Longoria In Alberta Ferretti – 2012 Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Dinner

Eva Longoria made her second Cannes Film Festival appearance of the day at the opening night dinner, which took place on Wednesday evening.

Following her breathtaking Marchesa gown at the opening ceremony, Eva wore an Alberta Ferretti Fall 2012 gown.

With a body-conscious nude slip, tulle overlay and lace piping, this is a much more gothic look to the tons of tulle gown we saw earlier in the day.

I’m glad to see Eva is keeping us on our toes, and not just sticking to one look.

A sleek updo, black pumps and white clutch complete the look.

What can I say? Cannes agrees with her.

One of the best pairs of recent times Eva and Cannes.

Couldn’t agree more. For some reason she knocks it out the park ONLY at cannes.

  2. CTgirl May 17, 2012 at 00:03 #

Great look. This is real glamour.

  3. Ramsay May 17, 2012 at 00:06 #

I have to say this dress looks sooooo much better on Eva than on the runway

  4. JGH May 17, 2012 at 00:19 #

FC, am I wrong in asserting that Longoria is striking the patented Victoria Beckham leg-thrust pose? It seems she’s been taking notes…

      ha…very right

  5. Jones19 May 17, 2012 at 00:22 #

She looks 10 feet tall in this gown. Love it on her, Cannes does seem to do wonders for her.

  6. CreoleLady May 17, 2012 at 00:27 #

Prefer this to her earlier gown. This one gives her a waist and she looks taller. Plus this one is far less deja vu.

    • manja May 17, 2012 at 09:59 #

my thoughts exactly, the previous one was total deja vu,but this is beautiful, except for the white clutch, doesn’t go with the gown at all,any otrher colore wdl’ve worked much better

She looks amazing. The dress is gorgeous. It looks much better on her than the runway!

    • Yeliz May 17, 2012 at 08:31 #

      I agree.

An unexpectedly amazing look from Eva. Way to go!

    • DivaDebbi May 17, 2012 at 05:18 #

+1. This may be the sleekest and chicest I have ever seen Eva look. Well done!

I love this – Eva looks interesting to me here, usually I skip over her and her Marchesa from earlier made me cringe, just way too too much…..but this, it rates a very big yes!

  10. Linda May 17, 2012 at 02:02 #

She looks gorgeous. I prefer this to the Marchesa.

  11. fromchi-town May 17, 2012 at 02:31 #

Cannes clearly agrees with her. Another stunning look. I love it… I just wish she keeps this standard whenevr she hits the red carpet.

Rose gold sandals and pink crystal earring would’ve been amazing. I don’t like the pumps, but other than that she looks great. I like how the gown is better on her than the runway.

  13. EmmaWoodhouse May 17, 2012 at 03:08 #

Eva, can you start giving us this style the rest of the year? Pretty please?
I love this look. It’s gothic yet glam, striking the right balance of edginess and classic chic. My only caveat is the white clutch. It’s a bit of an eyesore.

  14. dilpreet May 17, 2012 at 03:40 #

    stunner!

  15. asherlev1 May 17, 2012 at 04:13 #

We’re getting spoiled again with all these amazing looks!

  16. Tina May 17, 2012 at 06:14 #

I actually like this a lot better than the Marchesa- it’s more restrained, elegant, and fits her figure better. Kudos to Eva!

  17. Emi May 17, 2012 at 06:46 #

What happens to her when she’s in Cannes? She becomes such a refined woman, does she hire another stylist when she’s in Europe? :-)

  18. justme May 17, 2012 at 11:04 #

I agree with the others, this is very different for Eva and I like it.
I would love it if the nude slip was closer to her complexion and if the clutch wasn’t white, but gold.

    • Sharon May 18, 2012 at 01:17 #

I so agree with you about the nude slip being somebody else’s nude. Nude underlayments are always too white and make the black look grey. Other than that, I love the gown and the way it looks on Eva.

  19. Jess2 May 17, 2012 at 12:26 #

Oh I much prefer this look from her Marchesa look. I think is proof that you need to dress for your height. I love the dress and very much like the different feel/vibe of this look. Cannes does wonder for Eva and am glad she is venturing away from her usual style.

  20. dee May 17, 2012 at 13:15 #

This is so much better than her red carpet look. She looks good here.

  21. lu May 17, 2012 at 17:49 #

love it! myuch improved than the runway version. The ligther nude linning add to the effect of that perfect silhouette!

  22. the(un?)social butterfly May 17, 2012 at 17:51 #

To me, this is the best she´s looked in a loooong while. Amazing dress.

  23. dunzoo May 17, 2012 at 19:15 #

she looks great, she sould wear victoria beckham-esque gowns more often. it’s a very sexy and chic look without showing legs/boobs/back.

  24. Shaina May 18, 2012 at 22:51 #

I don’t think I’ll ever see a black gown this pretty. Love it on Eva.
