The wait is finally over as the 2012 Cannes Film Festival kick-starts today.
With Diane Kruger as one of the jurors, we are guaranteed glamour for the next 12 days.
The L’Oreal girls will also be doing their part.
Eva Longoria is on her way and Fan Bing Bing will be there, along with Aishwarya Rai, Jane Fonda, Freida Pinto, Doutzen Kroes and Sonam Kapoor.
Hopefully, we will also get to see Cheryl Cole and Gwen Stefani, but it’s unlikely we will see Jennifer Lopez with her ‘American Idol’ commitments.
Remember to keep refreshing throughout the day, as I will be live blogging over the next 12 days.
As we’re going to be overwhelmed with gowns, we’ll be voting on your Best Dressed of the Day.

Im so excited to see Sonam Kapoor back on the red carpet. By the way FC, did you know all L’Oreal brand ambassadresses will be sporting the ‘L’Or Electric’ range. Basically, they’re going to be wearing pop make up, lots of bright colors. That’s their theme for this year.

I’m dying to see that Stéphane Rolland dress! Too bad that his spring collection isn’t that popular with the celebs, I love it!
I also would love to see the Valentino, Versace spring and ofcourse the Alexander McQueen dress!

How I love that Stephane Rolland dress since the moment I saw it! Uma Thurman is my first pick for the dress, but the models like Bar Rafaeli or Karolina Kurkova would do it justice too.
I want to see all of the gowns you showed us FC but I’m literally dying to see that Stephane Rolland gown. I have no idea how I can describe my love for this gown.. It even beats all the Elie Saab gowns I want to see at Cannes. It’s the first time that I’m dying to see a dress which is not Elie Saab and I’m surprised at myself. But except for this dress, Elie Saab is of course my number one on my wish list.
I would be happy with any Stephane Rolland gown TBH

All of these gowns are beautiful but is the Rolland that has me praying to the fashion gods. Can’t wait for the fun to begin.
I heard Eva fit with Georges Hobeika for the festival and FC hate to be the bearer of bad news but someone who didnt get recognized wore that red Carolina Herrera gown to the met I saw it on the live stream

Sorry to maybe burst the bubble, but it was Patricia Lansing who wore the dress, and given that she is Carolina’s daughter, I maybe doubt that Carolina wil lend this gown to someone else to wear again.
