We haven’t seen Jennifer Connelly on the red carpet since January 2011, but she made a welcome return in New York City last night for the screening of ‘Virginia’.
The screening was held at the Crosby Hotel where the actress showed off her post-baby body wearing an Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 dress.
Her classic LBD with exceptional tailoring and a ruffled velvet necktie was styled with an Alexander McQueen black croc-skull clutch and a sexy pair of Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski-embellished sandals.
A low bun and a rich lip colour completed her look.
What a great comeback.

I hate black but Jennifer makes me love the look. Not BDOTW but good. At first sight I thought this was Emilio Pucci. The shoes are mouthwatering.
She is beautiful, and the dress is kind of hard to see in the photos, but it doesn’t appear to be anything special.
She has such confidence on the red carpet! Glad to see her back. BDOTW contender IMO.
Perfection, flawless fit and styling – no random out-of-place pops of colour or uninspiring footwear, the accessories are just right and the rich lippie is a prefect finishing touch. Sexy, classy and elegant, very nice.

I usually think her style is bad, but I really love this. Like you said, the tailoring is exceptional. When you wear simple black clothes that’s what you need, the perfect fit. A refreshing twist on the LBD.
I think she could actually wear a potato sack & I’d still enjoy looking at her, but she keeps it interesting instead & I looove her.

The black is so heavy it looks like she’s going to a funeral. Love Jennifer Connelly esp in A Beautiful Minds, but this is a miss for me. Her face is flawless though. Somehow, the styling reminds me of Daphne Guiness, besides the shoe choice.
