Elizabeth Banks was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City prior to her guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ yesterday afternoon.
The ‘Hunger Games’ actress wore black for only the second time this year.
After attending the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 presentation, I did say that apart from the sequin dress Elizabeth wore to the ‘Hunger Games’ Paris premiere, many of the dresses would require modifications to make them red carpet ready.
Elizabeth’s black paisley-print mini dress only retains the material and the pleated detail at the waist from the runway look.
With her hair teased into an updo, she completed her look with vintage jewels and Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Orner’ pewter strappy sandals.

I love this look over her Pilloto’s dress before. This one is simpler, elegant paired with a better shoes.
Even with the fall feeling the dress has, I love it! Those sandals are to die for.
Love it!
Super cute look!
Also – I want that dress!!! What a transformation, it looked so very unappealing on the runway.

im so glad it was modified!!!! i hated this collection the dresses were so ugly.
Ms Banks looks fabulous. im glad she has another move to promote
I adore this look. Usually I’m not a fan of black, but I love the modified version of this dress. It’s fun and girly, and those shoes are a killer addition. The hair and earrings are great too.
I’m hooked on Elizabeth Banks. I never want her red carpet run to end!
This look is super cute. I like it- the shoes really perfect the look. She has really become consistent.
She looks stunning and its very flattering
Better than her MET Gala dress IMO
I love it! She looks young, fresh and healthy skinny!
Love everything about this look
I think she looks spectacular !
I love it! But I rather loved the original neckline also, I’d love to see it paired with a shorter skirt, like the one Ms Banks is wearing.
This is how you wear black without being boring, Hollywood people!
This is an adorable look. Even if it black, it is fun and the shoes are perfect.
She looks ok, but the shoes are divine. I am always so disappointed by tlk show shoes, they are usually nude or black and almost always pumps, but these are gorgeous.
She looks adorable! And oddly, I’d like to recommend this dress (like several other dresses) to Chloe Moretz. XD
Cute and figure-flattering, pewter works really well the dress fabric, but a bit too short/young for her.
love it! it’s fun and suits her perfectly!
She might not be an A list actress but she is an A list fashionista !
She looks adorable–what a run she is having.
love love love!
Horrible on the runway, and almost great on Elizabeth–another five inches on the skirt and it would be great. Right now it looks rather like a child’s dress.
Talk about a 360. I prefer the modification dress of course.
Oh my gracious, this is a fantastic look. It may or may not be the best she’s looked in awhile, which is saying a lot because she ALWAYS looks great. I love the alterations and styling, it is just perfect.
I don’t know if anyone would agree with me here, but I seriously think Ms. Banks has been the most consistent on the red carpet this year. There haven’t been that many moments I have disagreed with.
Would be great to see her at Cannes!
Very cute!
