Beyonce Knowles In Roland Mouret – ‘The Thriving Child’ Book Launch

Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid hosted a book launch event in New York City yesterday for his wife Erica Reid’s book ‘The Thriving Child’.

Beyonce Knowles joined Mary J. Blige, Erica Reid and Tina Knowles at the event wearing a Roland Mouret ‘Galaxy’ dress from the designers Fall 2005 collection.

You may remember that this dress was worn by nearly every celebrity on the planet from Cameron Diaz to Carol Vorderman.

The most recent sightings of this timeless dress have come from Victoria Beckham and Miranda Kerr.

Beyonce wore her teal-blue ‘Galaxy’ dress with a black belt, gold hooped earrings, Christian Louboutin ‘Duvette’ gold toe-cap pumps and barely-there makeup.

Love it! She looks so much better when she doesn’t try hard.

This is the Beyonce that I love, effortless and chic.

The fresh face is also great.

Yes, that barely there make-up is stunning.

    • Linda May 9, 2012 at 14:09 #

Yes, she looks lovely and fresh. I like to see her in more classic and simple looks.

    • EmmaWoodhouse May 9, 2012 at 16:58 #

Yup, she looks good. Love this dress.

Seems she added a belt. Wish her hand wasnt blocking it so I could see how it coordinates with the rest of the outfit. Hopefully it brings the whole look together.

Poor Beyonce has no personality so she has to drag her poor mother to everything to do the mingling and conversations for her.

    • Fashion Critic May 9, 2012 at 13:41 #

Maybe her mother was invited ?!?! What a strange thing to say.

I think I have seen Beyonce in this blue dress before. It also reminds me of the Victoria Beckham one she wore to the Michelle Obama fundraiser.

    She looks nice.

She didn’t add the belt. That’s not the exact dress Beyonce is wearing. The version Beyonce is wearing was presented in black on the runway. The belt is already part of the dress. If you google ‘Carol Vordeman Galaxy Dress’ for images, the first two pics that come up are her in this exact dress with the same belt.

Roland Mouret ‘Galaxy’ dress, impeccably hugging women in all the right places since 2005.

    • Fashion Critic May 9, 2012 at 14:27 #

      Love this

        ;-D

Buying one of these figure-hugging RM dresses ranks very high on my personal wishlist.

I love this dress. It’s so timeless. Mouret really knows how to dress a woman.

  11. Yeliz May 9, 2012 at 15:28 #

This is much better than her Met “give me your attention” look. Love her shoes and her barely-there make-up.

  12. Riley May 9, 2012 at 17:12 #

Bey looks amazing. Far better than the other ladies.

I love Beyonce like this when she isn’t trashy.

  13. Hannah May 9, 2012 at 17:20 #

I believe that her heels are the Louboutin ‘Duvette’ pumps.

    • Fashion Critic May 11, 2012 at 00:49 #

      thank you

  14. LOLA May 9, 2012 at 17:36 #

I don’t know why Riccardo did that to her at the MET. I love when she’s wearing something like that. She looks good and what a beauty!

  15. MEME May 10, 2012 at 00:11 #

Love her Louboutin Duvette pumps…. she looks like a new mom should look… tired… I bet Blue Ivy is wearin’ her out…. she looks great…. better than how she looked at the MET gala… I like her fresh face…. minimal makeup….

I don’t mind everyone wearing this dress because it looks different on every body type. Love it.
