Victoria Justice became the first person to wear a look from the McQ Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 collection stateside.
The young actress looked very pretty wearing the floral embroidered tulle bustier dress with a velvet embroidered tulle body we all wanted to see on the red carpet to the 2012 Met Gala in New York City on Monday evening.
Her dress was accented with a velvet chain belt and teamed with an Alexander McQueen black-leather and gold-studded knuckle box clutch.
I love that she took the look down the sweet road and didn’t try to make it look too edgy.
Velvet pumps with gold platforms and sweet-pink lips completed her look.

This dress is so pretty..it feels wasted on her.
+1. the dress is incredible. It needs someone with much more presence to do it justice…Emma comes to mind.
Yes. Emma should have worn this. I didn’t *hate* her look, but it didn’t do her justice. She would have ROCKED this!
I agree! Victoria Justice doesn’t look bad in this dress, but someone with more attitude would have pulled this off much better, for sure. Plus, I wish Victoria had worn her hair up with this dress.

This is cute and fun and I think it works on her. McQ suits a teenager whereas McQueen would have been too much. I’m not crazy about the shoes with this particular dress, though.
I love everything about this look. I’m so glad she went for colorful shoes. I don’t feel like the dress was wasted on her since she wore it so perfectly.
i agree completely!

completely agreed.
Lovely! Great look.
She looks adorable.
Love the color explosion. Not sure how something so busy and full of varied textures works — but it does. Event and person appropriate. Glad she didn’t wimp out with black pumps, love the purple.
Victoria Justice did justice to this look.
I love this look and I love it on Victoria. This was a stunning collection.
She looks adorable, but it is not quite up to the event. this would be a knockout at a different event.
I was ready to hate it but I actually like it a lot. I think the dress is appropriate for a young girl and belongs to the met Ball . It could have been a little too much for another event. Special mention for the shoes choice
I’m so glad she chose interesting shoes to match the dress. A+ from me! She looks perfectly youthful!
Wow i love this look on her its so different than the runway and i think she really made it her own.
Great! Cute and edgy at the same time. One of my favourites too
i think she totally rocked this look, and it worked well with her. one of my favorites of the night <3
Very cute, well-accessorized look. I would have preferred, as DivaDebbi said, for Emma Stone to wear this, but Victoria does look great. She pulls it off well!
I Love the colors of this dress. She looks stunning. Does anyone else wish she had put her hair up in a ponytail?
Yes, but she looks beautifull nonetheless.
No, dear.
Considering the black borders, I feel that edginess is needed to make this look work. Now it just looks like she rolled around on the top of someone’s casket at a funeral.
I loooove this dress (and the whole collection) and I think Victoria looks awesome in it. Not loving the hair, it is a bit flat but overall this is a great look
I loooove the dress on the runway! I can’t believe it.
As far as Victoria’s version, it washes her out. It would be better if she wore her hair up.
eh, nope.
I’m sorry, but why is she at the Met Gala in the first place? She’s a Nickelodeon actress, for goodness’ sake…
Oh well. I agree that she was the wrong person to wear this dress. She just looks borderline childish in it, and in my opinion she should have swept her hair up in a loose updo, if nothing else. I do love the purple pumps though — prefer them to the runway shoes
