Mia Wasikowska joined a number of celebrities wearing Prada at the 2012 Met Gala in New York City last night.
The young actress looked prim and pretty wearing a raspberry cady-silk short-sleeve gown with a black waistband and high neck collar enhanced with black crystal embroidery.
Prada shoes and clutch accessorize the look.
Retro-waves and dark lips – two of the night’s biggest beauty trends – add the perfect finishing touches.

I like the dress, but I’m not a fan of the hair or makeup. She seems to always go for a darker lip with a lighter eye, which I think is really unflattering on her.
I do feel so bad for her because every picture of seen, the stains under her arms stick out like a sore thumb (at least to me). That’s got to be embarrassing.
I adore Mia and think she looks amazing… but are those sweat stains? So sad!
She looks ok. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either.
FC are you going to make a best dressed poll for the Met Gala?
i love everything about this look, except for the fact that it looks as though her pits are sweaty. what’s up with that?
I’m sure it could happen to the best of us. She looks beautiful. I don’t always like Mia’s style, but this is flawless.
Mia and Carey Mulligan’s style is very similar.
I wouldn’t like this look on anyone but Mia.
After seeing her perfect performance in the beautiful film “Restless” I see her in a new light.
My least favourite of the Prada girls looked that good – that says a lot about the overall level last night
Beautiful dress, messy hair and makeup. I’d normally complain about the lack of jewelry but in this case I think it can be overlooked because it’s quite working without it. Mia and Rooney Mara seem a little too radical when it comes to wearing jewelry I think as they are rarely seen with it.
Not sure about make-up + hair, but the dress is among my favorites of the night.
I don’t like the hair, I think it works in theory, but it looks too flat.
She looks like from some fairytale! Nice
Lovely makeup and hair.
oh man I love this dress, the pleated empire waist is so beautiful, especially in that heavy silk. not so keen on the make-up though
Jess, I totally agree. So cute! Pity about the armpits, but hey, that happens.
oh Bless her! the sweat stains…at the Met Gala! Oh my God. but she looks amazing and i do love this look.
I dont get this at all. Dour and matronly.
The dress is so regal, but her hair could have been better.
gorgeous dress. not sure about the hair
Are those sweat stains? I thought they were just the shadows of the sleeves…anyway, I quite like this look. It is regal, as Alina said, and very much her style. She is good in this color.
Like Kirsten Dunst, I think Mia looks pretty, but the outfit slightly ages her. I would have loved to see her wear something more youthful.
The dress is lovely, beautiful colour the black embroidery is cute but I am not feeling the overall look.
