Jessica Alba looked stunning on the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala on Monday night.
The actress stood out in a one-shouldered gold lamé Michael Kors gown.
While lamé can often scream ‘1970’s aerobics,’ the beautiful pleating and to-die-for fitting of the dress make it completely luxe.
Side-swept hair and a ruby lippie add to the red carpet-goddess look.
Wilfredo Rosado gold jewels and a matching clutch provided the finishing touches.

From head to toe. BDOTW! Stunning.
Woohoo, gold is winning in my books tonight! Jessica looks F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C from head to toe here. I can’t find a single flaw…this is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen gold lame and she’s my best dressed until further notice!
Runner up is presently Carey Mulligan
This look is very forgettable. Michael Kors looks are forgettable in the grand scheme of the red carpet.
This look is meh compared to everyone else. But she does look great.
Purrfection. Jessica rarely disappoints on the RC. Love this.
Forgettable! For the Met Gala this is the best she can do!!!??? The one hit wonder actress lacks to impress at a real fashion event yet again.
To be noted, that Jessica Alba wore to the Met Ball:
in 2010: metallic blush one shoulder similar cut to this
in 2011: metallic pale gold, strapless, preganant
in 2012: metallic gold, one shoulder
For an event where you break out of your comfort (even a little), this girl doesn’t know the meaning! If even breaking out by a texture! Does she have a career to lose?
Beautiful look, but I doubt I’ll be remembering it tomorrow. There was just too much competition tonight.

Love this look!!! Very beautiful and chic!!! Gold!!!
she does look good but this is nothing special in comparison with everyone else.
I love this. Definitely one of my dress of the night.
I agree. The gold against her skin is lovely.
Lame. As compared to the many exciting look, this gown just seemed prom-ish. Also, too much bronze. Not the best color for Jessica’s skin tone.
Wonderful look despite it being an often-worn style. She looks perfectly styled and radiant, even though it is a rather simple dress.
Gorgeous, of course, she’s Jessica Alba, but a bit deja vu.
tres boring. seen this dress a thousand times. is brad goreski still styling her?
come on brad! u can do better!

I don’t like the goldtone…too dark almost brassy. Would have looked so much better in a clear gold tone. The dress itself and the styling is meh..
I love me some gold lamé but I wish the style of the dress was different. I’m so over this.
I dont understand why Jessica has such great unexpected street style, and recently red carpet style (movie premieres, dinners, parties), but such boring awards night/gown choices.
I can’t take my eyes out of those gold jewels. Amazing. But why is she giving us the Blake Lively posture? And why did Blake Lively miss such an event?
I agree that she looks perfect, but it is also a little lost in the crowd tonight.
I feel like I’ve seen her in this about 1000000000 times before. Yes, she looks pretty but I’m tired of seeing the same thing. She officially bores me tbh which is sad since I used to adore her!
Really nice but don’t no if it’s met worthy maybe a premiere of some sort but it is forgettable but she is stunning
I’m not really crazy about the colour and fabric of the dress, but the styling is perfect.
I don’t like the color or the sheen. Normally I’m pro Alba, but it’s a quick glance and a “no”, for me.
Amazing once again!! I really love Jess’s style and she is just a beautiful women. Love her and love Michael Kors so definitely love the two together
