January Jones was back to her best on the red carpet at the 2012 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City this evening.
The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore an Atelier Versace Spring 2012 gown.
Her yellow custom strapless gown with structured metallic details and a peplum waist was inspired by the yellow bodysuit presented on the runway.
I love her sleek blonde locks and vintage Cartier yellow gold, diamond, and turquoise necklace, but the gown sells itself so it wasn’t needed.
Gold Versace heels completed her look.
It’s good to see January back in top form.

Yellow will never be the best colour for pale-skinned blondes, but I can overcome that because FINALLY she looks great again.

I may be the lone dissenter, but nothing about this worked for me. The color, the fit of the bodice, the design didn’t seem to flatter or stand out.
I love the unexpected addition of the necklace. I sort of feel like she added that turquiose to look “fashion forward” even though it didnt SUPER compliment the yellow of her dress, but A for effort
Welcome back to the fashion fold. She kind of reminded me of why Donatella chose her to become the face of Versace accessories, because she has been looking hideous this past few months.
An updo an a smokey eye instead of a red lip would have pushed it to perfection, but as a massive January, and Bety Draper, fan, I am so glad that she is finally returning to form. Also, a gold necklace would have made it just a bit mroe polished.

This gown is gorgeous and although it doesn’t need accessories, the necklace adds a very nice contrasting colour to the look.
