Eva Mendes took to the red carpet for the 2012 Met Gala, which was held on Monday night in New York City.
The actress wore a Prada strapless gown.
Her tangerine silk strapless and peplum gown with plexi and resin stone embellishments on the bodice was teamed with a Prada two-tone clutch.
Fred Leighton jewels, Prada heels and large wavy locks completed her look.
I love this look as the colour complements her skin tone and the colours of the clutch stand out against her dress.

That stuff on the bodice makes this look like a kid’s craft project. No thank you.
Yup–I think it’s tacky, not in a trashy way but in a tacky, cheesy, cheap way.
My first thought was Halloween candy corn. The proportion of the peplum makes it look more like an apron. I would have preferred less fullness in the skirt too.
+1
LOL. The color is great but not a fan of the style.
I actually have no problem with the dress.I like the color of the dress but i’m not that crazy about the model.I would’ve preffered another hairstyles, something more dramatic..
The dress is beautiful, but I think it isn’t for someone as sexy as Eva.
This is a better, sexier version from Elizabeth Banks’s Antonio Beradi look to White House Correspondents.
I find this ugly and unflattering. She also has low energy. This is disappointing and a case of Bad Prada.
Great color but the bodice got me wondering. Had she taken off those ugly stuff on the bodice, she would’ve looked much better.
I actually really love this. The color is smashing on her, I love how the fabric looks a little like leather, and I like the decoration on the bodice. this is one of my favorites.
gorgeous! beautiful details, imagine it in person!
met gala top 5 for me:)
It’s good. Not BDOTW worthy but good. What I like the most is that the colour of the clutch complements the embellishments.
it looks like a prom dress! and the bodice…what in the world?! i’m done. she knows better.
The top of her dress looks like the set decoration of a 60s gameshow.
I love the colour and silhouette but the bodice detail looks a bit cheap.
The colour? Gorgeous!
The shape? Beautiful!
The fit? Great!
The detailing? ……
It’s a nice look, but I think it’s forgettable…
