Leave it to Chloe Sevigny to bring one of the night’s most unique looks to the 2012 Met Gala, held in New York City last night.
The actress completely stood out in a Miu Miu black mirrored geometric patchwork mini-dress.
The quirky, and rather revealing, dress was paired with silver-and-black clog-like Miu Miu booties. A bright-pink Miu Miu clutch added a pop of colour.
Chloe is not one for a giant ballgown, so this ‘60s-inspired look suits her rebellious persona.
I do wonder if any divas tried to check out their reflection in her dress when she wasn’t looking.

last sentence: LOL =D
super fun. i slightly love it
I think I would like this look if it wasn’t for her hair. I just can’t get past the fact it looks like it was cut with garden shears!
I agree. her haircut has ruin her last few looks
+1
LOL @ “I do wonder if any divas tried to check out their reflection in her dress when she wasn’t looking.”
Whilst I don’t like this look I can admit that she really stood out. It’s completely different from the other looks of the night.
+1. She gave us something else, but i still dislike the look.
This look suits Chloe like none other, so she gets a pass from me, but I wish it wasn’t so revealing.
Is this really a dress?
I loved this outfit until I saw the shoes. I jsut can’t express enough hate for them. Even black pumps, black sandals, black ankle boots would have been a massive improvement.
Agree–the shoes ruin it. And if she had only done something just slightly bouffant with her hair…she could have really killed with this look.
I always count on Chloe to wear something kooky. In a room full of ballgowns and some SERIOUS couture glamour, she brings the fun. Love it.
I could find it amusing was it not for the horrific shoes…
Is she pregnant? She looks pregnant…if she’s not then this is not a good look.
I know I shouldn’t, but I think I love this. The only imporvement I would want is the hair. If it was slick and not so fussy, it would give me the same edge and gloss of the dress. great look.
i think… i think… i love it.
I tho this look is a great choice for this particular person at this particular event. Provocative, fashion-forward, controversial….. So appropriate for the Costume Institute. I love it.
I think this look is more appropriate for the Grammy’s or MTV Movie Awards, not the Met Gala. Not a flattering look for her midriff either
I’m sorry, but I really dislike anything she wears.
She makes this work. If this was on anyone else, no.
And LOL at the last sentence.
I wish the hair and makeup were a bit edgier to complement the dress.
When I saw her I thought okay the outfit is funky and Chloe but the girl must have been cold because it was quite chilly in NYC last night!
CeCe-EXACTLY!! ew ew ew. I get it, and she certainly stands out, but EW!!!!!!!!!!
Love this from the ankles up!
Horrible! Chloe used to be a favourite. She’s not been impressive for the last couple of months – but this hits rock buttom! She looks like a scarecrow.
The phrase “fish in a barrel” comes to mind.
I’m really surprised at myself – but I like this a lot on Chloe! It’s really her.
she looks she is on drugs or something with that hair and make up
Horrible. Tacky and weird.
Considering her rather quirky sense of style, I quite like this look for Chloe Sevigny. However, I don’t like the booties.
“I do wonder if any divas tried to check out their reflection in her dress when she wasn’t looking” – hilarious, that is the funniest things I have read all week
Not loving the look and really don’t like the shoes but good on her for stepping outside the box!!
