Freida Pinto opted for a more masculine approach to red-carpet dressing for the premiere of her latest film ‘Trishna’ on Friday night in New York City during the Tribeca Film Festival.
The Indian beauty wore a chic Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 suit.
Her raspberry single-breasted suit was styled with a black silk-chiffon blouse and a black leather belt also from Gucci.
I love that she kept the black-and-gold butterfly pin detail which was complemented with a black-and-gold striped Fendi beaded baguette.
A bright-pink lip colour, a bun with side-swept bangs, and simple black Gucci pumps completed her look.
It not often we see Freida taking a risk on the red carpet, but this bold suit is a BDOTW contender in my eyes.

FC, you have to agree that Freida looks quite different at each of her red carpet appearances. Even though, each look might not be a risk per se, it’s bold to change up your look as often as Freida does.
I love the raspberry color, it complements her skin tone beautifully. The suit is very well fitted and she looks beautiful! The only two things I am not a fan of: her spread leg manly stance and her Fendi purse. But BDOTW contender for sure!

This is an interesting look for Freida. Since she is going outside of her comfort zone and is working it, I would say BDOTW. But she won’t win.

I totally agree. This is most definitely a BDOTW contender for me. The suit is beautiful and well-tailored, the colour is stunnig on her and she looks great.
I also love her accessories, and even the black pumps work well here. I actually own very similar raspberry formal pants (only thing is that mine are Zara, not Gucci…LOL!), and I always wear them with black, I think it’s a good match.
