Gucci’s art-deco-inspired Spring 2012 collection was a celeb favourite, and in this WWIB, we have four different ladies who chose the same fringed frock.
Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, donned the dress back in September 2011 for the opening of the Gucci Museum in Florence, just days after the look was first shown during Milan Fashion Week.
Frida appeared in a sleeved version of the runway look. Gucci ‘Ophelie’ suede chain T-strap sandals completed the look.
At the LACMA Inaugural Art & Film Gala, held in LA back in November, Evan Rachel Wood played up the 1920s flapper vibe of the dress with smoky-eye makeup and a finger-wave hairdo. Drop earrings and Gucci t-strap heels completed the look.
Spanish television personality Raquel Sanchez Silva wore the same dress to the ‘Tp De Oro’ Awards 2012, held in Madrid back in February. With a sleek ponytail and smoky eye makeup, Raquel’s styling from the neck up is pitch perfect. Unfortunately, a clunky clutch and dowdy shoes are a major letdown.
On Monday, we saw Korean pop singer BoA bring back the popular look at the Gucci reopening of their Seoul flagship store event, held in Seoul. She let the dress do all the talking, opting to accessorize with just a light gold clutch and the t-strap Gucci heels.
It’s interesting how nearly everyone here wore the Gucci t-strap shoes.
Evan Rachel Wood wins for me for committing to the theme of the look by channelling her inner flapper girl right down to the marcel waves.

humm none really stands out. did Camilla Belle wear the same dress or was it wrongly inprinted in my memory….
Same collection…different dress
Anja Rubik and Florence have worn it too. Its an original dress but theres other pieces from that collection that i like far better!!!!

Anja Rubik for sure…but FC didn’t feature her on this post
Anja Rubik also wore that dress and looked fabolous
Evan Rachel Wood for sure. She truly brings out the vibe of the 20ies (which is my favorite decade) with her styling.
Everyone seems to be wearing this dress at the moment!!!!!! Anja Rubik, Florence Welch, Taylor Swift for Bazaar… Its a cool piece, but i think theres other dresses from the collection that should be seen too!! I think Evan looks the best out of them all too
ERW is the clear winner here.
Camila Belle also used this outfit!
Please note that Camilla wore a totally different dress

In my opinion Boa gave the right interpretation of this dress. Infact, while Frida and Raquel didn’t rock it very well, Evan seemed to wear a costume during a masked ball. Instead Boa wore the dress modernizing the outfit and I love it!
Although I actually like it on Frida, I agree with you on Evan. The first thought that sprang to mind was “costume”. I think it’s just a bit TOO much with the hair and shoes, unless for a 1920s theme event.
I really like the way BoA wore the dress more fitted. It makes it look more unique!
I love Raquel’s shoes, but she seems to be missing the slip under the fringed skirt which makes it too risque. Evan for me.
Evan than Boa. Evan for going all out, and Boa for making it modern. But I love costumesque looks, so totally Evan for working it HARD.
‘We have five different ladies who chose the same fringed frock.’ – I think someone has been working too hard lately, as I can only see four ladies
P.S. This isn’t a jab at you FC, just thought I’d bring in a little sense of humour to your day (why is it still raining here in UK?!). Lol.
oopsy…thanks
BoA’s more beautiful pic

Oh thanks!
BoA is gorgeous!
BoA! Gorgeous Goddess!
I think I voted Frida, because, firstly, and most importantly, I envy her tan crazily(especially with London weather
), and secondly, because she is th eonly one whose body type I think it works on.
That being said, my actual favourite was Anja rubik, who is the onyl person who I found at all memorable in this dress. Her giuseppes also help. http://www.elleuk.com/star-style/red-carpet/amfar-gala-2012
It’s def. between Evan and BoA. Frida and Raquel make it look too plain, almost mumsy.
With Frida’s shoes and more dramatic eye makeup, Boa would’ve been a clear winner for me.
Boa’s pink fingernails and blue toenails have nothing to do with this outfit. I suspect this dress was a last minute choice.
You’re missing Camilla Belle!
she’s my fave look on this dress
Please note that Camilla wore a totally different dress.

I went for Boa. Although I find this dress very unflattering in all of them.
I honestly dislike the dress. Or, maybe it’s the fact that none of them did it justice? Either way…
I vote for BoA .. She is absolutely beautiful
anyway this dress looks like Balmain design BoA wore during Kpop Star press conference.. also a combination gold and black but different pattern
evan wins for me
If I’m not mistake Taylor Swift also wore this on the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar Australia?
