Jimmy Choo Fall 2012

During Milan Fashion Week I previewed the Jimmy Choo Fall 2012 collection.

Jimi Hendrix and Kate Moss’ imaginary love-child served as inspiration for this collection, so cue painted python, tassel accents, studded leather and patchwork pieces.

A motif of Jimi actually appears on two of the acrylic clutches.

Celebrities can choose from the gorgeous bejewelled clutches and, hopefully, colourful pumps.

I can see the Jimmy Choo ‘Tame’ pump being a huge hit with celebs. The ankle-strap suede heel, which comes in blue and pink, has a diamante-encrusted heel, sole and toe-cap which will dazzle on the red carpet.

Feather-accented sandals, patchwork clutches, furry clasp clutches, totes in a range of colours and styles, plus a leather studded shoulder bag just begging to be carried by Kate Moss was also on display.

Boots range from simple black to leopard print, heeled biker boots, to ankle boots with furry accents.

For the businesswoman you have a selection of classic pumps in leather or python.

Those blue and pink heels with the glittery heels and soles look awful! I could imagine them sitting on a shelf at the back of Primark.Hope to goodness no celebrities wear them…

The sparkly heels and the leopard print boots look tacky but I love the rest and would love to try all of them on!

I’m sorry I just really am not loving this collection. It is just a bti tacky for me, especialyl because it’s Jimmy Choo. There are a few shoes that I can imagine looking great on a red carpet, bu tmost of them tacky. It’s like they tried to copy one of the italian shoe brands, like Casadei, Zanotti, Rossi, Lorenzi or Dolcini, and it really didn’t work.

Jimmy Choo’s current spring collection is TDF…. but they need to go back to the drawing board for this fall collection…. the only shoes I like is the red ones in the first pic…. and the blue and pink ankle booties… and the blue and pink clutches in the second pic…. most of the collection looks tacky…. especially the ones wit’ the glittered soles…
