Zhou Dongyu In Carven – 2nd Beijing Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Zhou Dongyu also hit the red carpet for the 2nd Beijing International Film Festival opening ceremony, held at the China National Convention Center yesterday evening, with Fan Bingbing and Zhang Ziyi.

She becomes the latest Asian celebrity to fall in love with the French brand Carven.

Her Spring 2012 look was styled better than the runway as she paired a striking electric-blue collared white lace sleeveless Carven shirt with an electric-blue Carven mini skirt with an embellished white lace appliqué.

It’s interesting that these stars, known for their love of over-the-top ballgowns, are wearing less formal looks to such a formal events.

Nude sandals and braided updo completed her look.

You can buy Zhou Dongyu’s Carven skirt from Net-A-Porter.com.

I think this look is great. She’s only 19, so it’s great to see her experimenting with fashion!

She looks adorable, but she also looks too high school.

I love both the shirt and the skirt but it’s definitely not event appropriate.

Ugh. Gorgeous; I would wear that in a heartbeat. But maybe that is the problem? I guess maybe she should have worn a gown.

She looks great but what happened to the pretty gowns?

This is a very cute outfit–love the colors and the lace applique n the skirt, also those shoes are AWESOME! But am I the only one missing gowns here?

This look is horrible. The lace on the skirt makes it look like a home economics project. It gives off the vibe of homemade and proud. Yuck.

She is too cute. Love this on her.

I think this dress is out of place. She should save this dress for her movie premiere or photo call. This is a movie festival, we need a gown.
    She looks cute, anyway.
